TV adaptations are rarely my thing, but RTÉ’s adaptation of @caimhmc.bsky.social’s “A Man With One of Those Faces”, now screening as “Tall Tales and Murder”, is a delight, and hilarious into the bargain. A must watch, and a cult classic in the making. Bunny for the win!
It's finally here!
The fifth instalment in The Stranger Times series RING THE BELLS is now available in the shop.
It's beginning to look a lot like Ho, Ho, Ho...Homicide!
@caimhmc.bsky.social
Out now in paperback - a dark and twisted antidote to all that corporate-approved Crimbo cheer being shoved down your chimney already.
Ho ho holy homicidal Santa Claus!

Rest in rock 'n roll mate.
What a beautiful man, with a brilliant talent. Loved listening wide-eyed to his stories of seeing everyone who counted when he was a teenager in the late 60s. The guy saw Hendrix! And he was in The Young Ones! 1/2
When you need some crime, but you also need it to be pretty damn ridiculous and funny, you could do worse than @caimhmc.bsky.social ‘s THE MAN COMES AROUND. *Incredible* narration on the audiobook. The 9th book in THE DUBLIN TRILOGY is a lot of fun.
Hypothesis: if you buy two entire series of books and then read book one of each series followed by book two of each series, you will enjoy both series more. My research material arrived today. @aptshadow.bsky.social and @caimhmc.bsky.social this is research I’ll do enjoy!
Couple of years ago, before the Bad Place became insufferable, a photo of a foreword in a book was shared. It was about Z's and ducklings and Americans and it made me laugh. I tracked down the book and the author and devoured everything available. You should read these. And The Stranger Times.
BARGAIN ALERT!
To celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the million-selling tv-bound infuriatingly-inaccurately named Dublin Trilogy, the first three books are a scandalous 99p/99c on kindle. Grab ‘em now and tell a friend! amzn.to/4wI7nhK
I love these books and have read everything Caimh has written in recent years. If you like the sound of crime fiction with a comic twist and a heart of gold then give them a go!

Had a wonderful time talking to the fantastic @stevecavanagh.bsky.social about his latest banger One Of Us Is Guilty at Waterstones Deansgate. Be warned - It’s an absurdly good legal thriller that’ll have you missing sleep.
Despite how the picture looks - no, I did not take him hostage.
Bunnymafia assemble!
Starting today, to celebrate the ten-year anniversary of the release of A Man With One of Those Faces and the impending release of my brand new Bunny book The Man Comes Around, we'll be sharing the video series of me chatting up a storm. Check em out. I got a new shirt!
"Another amazing and absorbing tale from the inimitable Jodi Taylor. Full of intrigue and enough twist and turns to make you dizzy. I love Team Weird and really hope they can sort out their differences!" #AmazonReview 💙📚🪐 https://amzn.to/4gaNc49
Wonderwife and I are at the Harrogate Crime fest. Just saw the legend that is Chris @brookmyre chatting to the wonderful Mark Billingham. Chris is one of big literary heroes - I recommend everything he’s ever written - Books, short stories, shopping lists…
Up next, we can't wait to hear @thomasdlee.bsky.social discuss his second novel, The Knight Watch with @caimhmc.bsky.social! TKW is a "queer, Nazi-killing, WWII Arthurian romp". Oh yes. This is going to be a fun one.
If you’d shown me this pic 10 years ago & told me the book I was about to publish to zero fanfare would get a special 10th anniversary limited edition hardback with beautiful sprayed edges, new intro, signed and numbered … to be honest, I’d have been more excited about the dogs but still…
So the answer to the competition question: my book The Quiet Man has been banned by California's Dept of Corrections — putting me in the company of Stephen King and George RR Martin. Thrilled, honestly. Turns out my prison break method was a little *too* convincing.
Life of an author: 10 years ago I’d have been excitedly holding a proof of my first book. Cut to this morning and I’m opening a mysterious package that turns out to be a proof of my 23rd novel. “Ah crap, thought this was something good!” I mean it is good - but I’ve already read it about 12 times.
Win a signed proof of The Man Comes Around (book 9 of The Dublin Trilogy, out 27 August available to preorder now). All you've got to do is answer this: As of this week, what do Stephen King, George RR Martin and I have in common? You have until midnight Monday 15 June to guess. Good luck!
My prediction: the UK government puts in a bid for the Olympics in the north of England, but then at the last moment changes it to taking place between Birmingham and Old Oak Common.
The audiobook of The Big Steal is available right now from our shop - and it’ll be available from all other vendors as soon as possible. (Cheaper on Whitehairedirishman.shop though - support your local author!)
