“We all pay lip service to the Constitution. That being said, the law of the land gets in the way of our fascist agenda, so… fuck it.”

The Bulwark@thebulwark.com

Welker: "Do you agree with the president's ban [of CNN, MS NOW, and Politico]?" Barrasso: "We all respect and value the freedom of the press; it's in the Constitution…The press has an obligation to report fairly, and the president doesn't see it happening that way."

Just abandon all of these insane death-cults, full stop. Why would anyone seriously entertain these milquetoast half-measures?

We need at some point to talk about American Evangelicalism as a heretical movement. We should not indulge the delusion of a bunch or nuts who cherry-pick the Bible to rationalize otherwise indefensible 21st century bigotries that they are representatives of a global faith.

My man looks like an NHL coach whose team just went 21-53-8 for the third straight season, and he’s trying to stay positive while he awaits the call from the GM.

My man looks like the mayor from SPIN CITY joined the Waffen SS

The non-MAGAs who voted for this are incapable of understanding politics beyond the office of POTUS, and cannot be relied upon to help steer us out of fascism. They're incapable of learning. Incapable of doing more than applying a band-aid on a bullet wound before they reverse course yet again.

It’s not a Supreme Court anymore—it’s the Institute for the Advancement of Christofascism. Don’t listen to these normopath lawyers insisting precedents still hold water with these six religious zealots; they don’t. They don’t even follow the “irreparable harm” rule in equity cases.

Conservative logic: “I refuse to pay a higher tax rate and I’m going to spend $100 million to prevent it from happening!” This is why conservatives shouldn’t be in charge of anything. This is their peak intellectual level.

This is how you know we need a wealth tax

Yo, Massie-- point to ANY point in time when ANY of these things were part of a Republican agenda during your time in congress. Seriously. Pick any of them and provide evidence you were working on it. Fucking liar.

MayhemMel!@melindameyer.bsky.social

Gee Tom you should know. You've stood side by side with Trump for years. Now when you know all is going to be revealed you jump on the Dems side and fane ignorance about Trump and Epstien. Others commend you I don't applaud someone just doing the right thing finally.

It needs to be universally understood that Trump is not running the country. Trump doesn't know anything about policy, and he has no policy ideas. The country is being run by the Heritage Foundation, and the Federalist Society. Trump is just there to get praise, and steal money.

Jon Cooper@joncooper-us.bsky.social

Trump is literally dozing off AGAIN in the middle of a meeting, head lolling like a broken bobblehead. 😴 This is extremely concerning and screams there’s something seriously wrong with him. The guy can’t even stay awake for his own photo op. How is he running the country?

The history of the downfall of the U.S. goes like this: -GOP engaged in a decades-long war against education -Generations in the south and Midwest grew up ignorant -Putin weaponized that ignorance to get an asset elected president -Asset enacted Putin’s agenda while uneducated Americans cheered

When people say, “The U.S. is the greatest country on earth,” what they actually mean is, “This happens to be where I live.” That’s it. It is the blandest form of ethnocentrism that exists.

Omg. WTF is Happening?@lalahaenzy.bsky.social

Sir Ian McKellen performing a monologue from Shakespeare’s Sir Thomas More on the Stephen Colbert show. Never have I heard this monologue performed with such a keen sense of prescience. Nor have I ever been in this exact historical moment.TY Sir Ian, for reaching us once again. #Pinks #ProudBlue

You spent a lifetime helping to cultivate the rot that is the GOP. Only when the monster got loose did you back away. Now you want to disingenuously preach that not all is lost after Hitler has invaded Poland, the government is murdering citizens in the streets, and the entire party is shrugging?

This post is unavailable.

This was the reply when I told this idiot that the right is responsible for roughly 75% of political violence. These cultists don't know anything, and they can't be bothered to look anything up, either. Political conservatism is all about being emotionally insecure and pridefully ignorant.

Yeah right. Moron.

I do not have empathy for people that repeatedly and intentionally punch themselves in the nuts. If this is how you choose to live, then I cannot mourn your inevitable demise. You had the resources to make good choices and you rejected them.

You are up to date.
