America Is Being Destroyed By The Dumbest People on Earth Trump's cruelty is perhaps only matched & surpassed by his ignorance. He allegedly is unaware that his own billionaire bill cuts Medicaid, and his Vietnam trade deal just increased prices. Lovely. open.substack.com/pub/thelefth...

What is clear is that the Heritage Foundation's Project Esther did not focus on anti-semitism broadly, but on higher education. It proposed radical actions that we are seeing today, such as accusing anyone who protests the war as supporting Hamas, and threatening public funding and student visas.

Very true. In Trump's "flood the zone" chaos, he's creating a world where the abnormal is accepted as normal. As long as we keep saying, he's only joking, it's just a throwaway line, we may well share the experience of frogs in a pot headed for boil. By the time we wake up, it will be too late.

Alito is unhappy about stopping the deportations. As they're illegal and clearly unconstitutional, this suggests that he no longer understands his job. He suggested there was no grounds for appeal when, in fact, no grounds for invoking AEA Senile or evil? www.independent.co.uk/news/world/a...

Bad faith, and an inability to deal with it, is a big part of our current problem, yes. Flummoxes large swaths of the legal profession and media, among others, who respond by indulging it, platforming it, inventing a more sensible rationale for it, anything other than a straightforward "I call BS."
I feel like the bad faith/good faith dichotomy and especially understanding how switching between the two happens is the most important question for political science these days.
