Freedom Stack is definitely one of the more well thought-out SaaS boilerplates I've reviewed this year. If you like Astro, and want web dev to be fun and accessible again – I highly recommend it. Best part is it's free 🍻 link in thread

Idea for someone to create: CapacitorJS working with SSR frameworks. Create event listeners attached to the webview that invoke the JS to native bridge. Then, Capacitor apps don't need to be client-side rendered. I think...

just did the same thing. Was a doozy

nice, I just split a ~1000-line source file into a bunch of smaller ones without introducing any circular imports, first try. maybe my code isn't spaghetti for once.

@christopheduc.me I am reaching out to freelancers to have a chat about workflow and the invoices processes. I recently launches fio.software to help simplify the process and I am looking for early-adopters to give it a go and provide feedback in exchange for perks 😎 Would you spare a few? 🦋

fio.softwareFio | The Freelance ToolkitFio is a simple yet powerful time-tracking, invoicing, and project management platform designed to help freelancers streamline their workflow and boost productivity.

Has anyone else experienced the "scaling cliff?" When a company is small (1-2 people), it's relatively easy to run (low admin). But once you cross a certain threshold (number of people, revenue number), there's a sudden, steep increase in complexity, overhead, or administrative burden? 💻🌱

IMO @bsky.app would benefit from making a spinoff of the entity that provides the PDSs. PDS are the functional unit of #atproto, and the microblogging social network is an app built on top of it, but from the outside they are still seen as an inseparable entity that centralizes all functions.

2 days: hardcore getting stuck on a new feature not working 3rd day: start from scratch, new idea works after 5 min of coding almost two decades of programming and this phenomenon never ceases to amaze me

Replying to @danabra.mov

another way of thinking about it is that atproto extracts the canonical notion of a “user” (i.e. identity) and the data associated with it (your posts etc) outside of any apps and then the apps are downstream from your identity & data

i wonder if diagrams like these might help draw the distinction between ActivityPub (and how Mastodon uses it) and AT Protocol (and how it’s used by Bluesky and atproto apps)? with AP, instance = application + hosting. data gets sent between instances. with AT, data flows *from* hosting *to* apps

atproto ≈ “what if every app worked like google reader”

I feel like this site's demographics can be described as "still mad about the loss of Google Reader"
