Yes, we'd like to reserve one last chance to tweak the API after the Ecosystem adopts it and common patterns emerge. We aren't going to break the Environment API in 6.x minors though. If we change it, we'll do it in Vite 7, and stabilize it there.

Was so excited to finally use "vite-ignore" on my global scripts, but my project fails to build after upgrading to v6 😭😭😭 "createFileSystem" is not exported by "node_modules/..." Yes it is, it works in vite v5 :((((

I feel like this is a vite-plugin-comlink problem, I really wish that were upstreamed and kept up to date... I'm not sure there's an alternative out there that does the same thing.
