The recent ELCA report is a great reminder about the economic costs of climate change. There are various recommendations in the report, & one is very aligned with our campaign to see Australia buy a publicly owned fleet of large firefighting aircraft. www.foe.org.au/lat_petition...

We are getting there. We passed our arduous pack test today. Another week of training & we will qualify as arduous/ remote area firefighters, ready to go this summer. Proud to be a part of the CFA remote area firefighter team, the 2nd to be trained in VIC.

It still kind of blows my mind that I can be in a meeting, get a call out, drive a truck to a fire, do the job, go home & log back into zoom for the next meeting. Still feels faintly surreal every time.

Your reminder that VIC Coalition are dinosaurs when it comes to climate science. Coalition MPs working on the report into last summer's fires voted NO on this motion: 'Climate change is a key contributor to bushfire conditions & in contributing to the frequency & severity of bushfires in the state.'

Yep. An Australian PM would be removed if they acted the way Trump does.

If our prime Minister would post something like that he would be removed in less then a week. He would be send for a mental health evaluation. America is now allies with North Korea, no big deal.
