Capsule Customs - (COMMS OPEN)

After reading Darren Naish's review of Dougal Dixon's "The New Dinosaurs", I have a hankering to start making articulated replicas of all these hypothetical creatures. I do have to dig out my old copy of "After Man" from...somewhere, though.

Spadamon WIP. I was gonna do a kicking pose, but it looked awkward and didn't sell the fact he's a swordsman, so this pose it is.

Monster Rancher critters are now printing. Too many to fit on one build plate, but the rest will be printed today too. In the mean time! Back to Spadamon.

How cool are these? I'd love to incorporate GITD effects into my stuff.

While I wait for new resin to print the Monster Rancher stuff, here's a quick rough in of a new Digimon sculpt. Still whittling the ol' backlog down!

Following a list of 10 randomly selected Zoids, I've also made a list of 10 randomly selected Monster Hunter monsters. Unlike the Monster Rancher ones, these'll both be sculpted as chibis, like the Digimon. I'll sculpt chibi Monster Rancher ones too, though for now just making them for a friend.

A slow week, but at least Worm is now done! I'm gonna print the ones I've done and send them to my friend - it's been nearly a month since I started these! Dang.

Dorumon is actually really hard for me to draw in a satisfying way, so I did some studying. This is still based on my Dorumon OC so I intended her to look more mischievous than the usual one. (re-uploaded to fix something)

Here's Golemon (PS) next to Golemon who I used for pose and structure reference. This is the lowest amount of colors I have used for a sprite.

Nearly there

Still continuing the Monster Rancher sculpts, but no renders. Gotta get a move on! Hare is based on its MR 2 model. I am very used to seeing its anime appearance, so it was weird just sculpting what is basically a regular chungus. Anyway! Onto the next one.
