@carlagg.bsky.social (Carla Gaggini) on why the community gathers at KubeCon + CloudNativeCon to share ecosystem knowledge: "That's where we can meet everybody and learn from each other." More from Carla at KubeCon + CloudNativeCon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SqD8jNJGweU #KubeCon #CNCF

Was great to catch up with so many fellow @cncf.io Ambassadors at @containerdays.bsky.social ! 💙 (This isn’t even all the ambassadors, we just couldn’t get everyone together in one place 🤣) Feat @kaspernissen.xyz @dotanhaim.bsky.social @carlagg.bsky.social @mfahlandt.bsky.social & more

🎥 If you weren't at KubeCon you might not have seen me doing my best impression of a news reporter delivering the @cilium.io project updates. So much fun making this with @carlagg.bsky.social and James Spurin! youtu.be/thCrfsVJz4g

On her birthday, the odds were in @carlagg.bsky.social favor 🍀 She won a golden ticket 🎫 @mauilion.dev was the impartial witness for this round, so you know it’s not rigged 😎 The happy birthday Carla Corsair 🏴‍☠️

It was so much fun making the @cilium.io project update video for #kubecon with @carlagg.bsky.social and James Spurin! (Link to video coming soon when WiFi permits)

Good morning to this man, and this man only #bbcqt

🥳 1st post of 2025 to share that I’ve obtained a new certification from @cncf.bsky.social! 🌈 💙 Definitely an upgrade in responsibility but what an honour to be a track chair for #KubeConEU25, with it being in London making it even more special! 🇬🇧 Great to work with you @boredabdel.bsky.social 🥰 🫶🏻

One second from every episode of Twin Peaks.

I (finally) wrote up my thoughts on "Founder Mode" and the Brian Chesky morality tale about how he turned around Airbnb company culture. This has made it into the Silicon Valley water table; it must be dealt with. There are some good nuggets within; let's dig them out. charity.wtf/2024/12/17/f...

I have a new 🐝 friend, thanks to @amandabrock.bsky.social 🥰 She’s extra soft and cuddly and perfect for chilling on the sofa after a long day 😌 #BeeWarm 🐝

Maybe I should have thicker skin by now, but blatant mansplaining still pisses me off tremendously.

Thank you @h.olysh.it for sending these precious stickers, I literally squealed when I saw the letter 🥹 And of course forever thankful to @krisnova.net for the reminder to focus on what makes you happy, in general, but especially when things are not great in your daily life. Missing you, Nóva 💔

🎧 AKA: 1) My obsessive playlists on repeat during long-haul flights✈️ 2) My Asian and/or BL shows fixation STs🫶🏻 3) Tamago’s song, which is religiously played in our household every single weekend since we got her, 2+ years ago🐕 4) Lots of post-rock, because it is and’ll always be my fav 🎶 genre 😌

Protect trans kids.

I was originally going to call this post “What makes a programming language real?” because I saw some people picking a fight on the internet about this type of topic, yet again, and it got me thinking as to why we even broach the topic in the first place. hazelweakly.me/blog/you-hav...

What a wonderful night at the Open Source Awards organised by @openuk.bsky.social 💕 Isovalent and @cilium.io have won *all* they could possibly win 🏆 Special congrats to my co-runner and winner of the Belonging Award Nico Vibert 🫶🏻

Why am I always making some weird expression? Also, I was bored, okay? 🫣 Featuring @cilium.io and #Tetragon 🔒😂 and also @birthmarkbart.bsky.social @mahe.bsky.social @orlinvasilev.bsky.social and Miley Fu at #KubeCon NA 24 😂 Sorry @cncf.bsky.social for butchering those cool shots 😬

I now have a mini-drawer in my jewellery box dedicated to pins and badges. Look how pretty they are 🥹🫶🏻✨❤️

KubeCon NA is over, time to work on #KubeCon EU 🫣🇬🇧 Went out in the cold for a site visit, it looks like we have the basis for another unmissable Hive Mind Mingle 🐝 by #Isovalent 🥳 P.S. Can you name where I took this selfie? 🤔🤭

The most stunning view from my flight back home (AKA where Tamago is 🐕) Thank you all for making #KubeCon another special one, thank you for visiting our #Isovalent booth or simply saying Hi at some point 🐝🥹 Missing you all already and can’t wait to see lots of you in London 🇬🇧🫶🏻💙❄️ @cncf.bsky.social

Some Isonauts up early to catch the sunrise at Ensign Peak @carlagg.bsky.social @breakawaybilly.bsky.social (thanks for the tip @giantswarm.io friends!)

Cilium? Cilium. Cilium? Cilium. Did I get so excited about the earrings that @carlagg.bsky.social gave me that I matched my eyeshadow to the Cilium logo? Maybe… #kubecon day two! Rejekts and wasm con! Let’s GOOOO

It’s not #KubeCon week without Cloud Native Rejekts 🫶🏻 Several 🐝🐝🐝in attendance, as you can see! ALSO, how cool are my Cilium earrings?! I have only a few available, for true #Cilium lovers 💛🧡💜💙💚❤️ @lizrice.bsky.social @auggie.dev

Now’s it’s an isovalent party! #rejekts @lizrice.bsky.social @carlagg.bsky.social @youngnick.net

I arrived to Salt Lake City yesterday evening, the journey to my suitcase felt infinite 😂 Anyway, I’m here and AWAKE after sleeping for 9 hours 😮🥱

Rebel 🐝 on the move ✈️ Feeling prepared for the Utah cold 🥶 thanks to my Iso-attire 😎 (Kudos if you spot *all* the logos 😉) SO SO EXCITED to meet the #KubeCon + #CloudNativeCon community soon, safe travels everybody 🫶🏻💙 @cncf.bsky.social

I’m trying here 🥹 🇯🇵 (can’t say the results are impressive 🥲🥲🥲)

I created a starter pack for Cloud Native projects. While we're all mostly here to follow people, I'd like to encourage all the @cncf.bsky.social projects (and related) to set up BSky accounts. Let me know any I'm missing and I'll add them to the starter pack! go.bsky.app/GbZUjph

Remember, surviving is its own form of resistance.

In other news, I found yet another excuse to do some shopping and bought myself some fancy winter boots, because apparently Salt Lake City is starting to get *CRISP* 🥶

How AMAZING is this? As if @lizrice.bsky.social couldn't get any cooler 🤯 🎃🐝🫶

Happy #KCDUK 🎉 Love love loooove our UK community and being part of this event as both organiser and sponsor with my wonderful Isovalent at Cisco crew 🐝❤️🥰 Come and say Hi to us! @mauilion.dev @lizrice.bsky.social @d-a-n.co
