Do the Brewers think they are the Bananas with these yellow unis??? It’s the only explanation bc what do you mean the catcher banked an out at home AND third in the same play?!

With players like Polanco thriving in post season play, the Twins really need to ask themselves why high potential players perform better once they’ve left the org and put good faith investment in fixing it

Meeting the people where they are, and not the despots. Thats how we all do better.

UNTIL IT’S DONE, Ep. 4: Sylvia Rivera In the 1970s, queer New Yorkers had been pushed to the margins of NYC. Our trans neighbors faced immense cruelty. But in Sylvia Rivera, they found a champion. As we combat Trump’s politics of darkness, her legacy can light the path forward.

A fun thing I have learned recently is that slightly too few allergy meds means my face may as well be packed with wet insulation but slightly too many means my limbs would like to do the Charleston all night and I won’t sleep for two days

Made my husband watch a 20 minute you tube about the ways our region’s highways are unique and you know we’re different bc he left it thinking it was time he never would get back and I left it with additional questions to research

It’s a real shitshow of a timeline when you’re not sure if the flags are still half staff because of the kids in town shot in a church, the fascist propagandist who was murdered in a crowd, or someone forgot to bring it up when down as tribute for the massive terror attack anniversary.

Anyone who tells you Catholics aren’t for immigration reform and immigration safety are not actually Catholic even if they say they are Catholic. This is a core tenet.

@alejacorazonhm.bsky.social offers a helpful report at @rns.org about the roundtable I participated in last night at Georgetown University alongside four Catholic bishops and three Catholic activists. I was there as the moral theologian outlining Catholic social teaching on immigration.

Political violence disproportionately hurts people with less power, not people with more power. Political violence will disproportionately hurt people of color and women and LGBTQ people. It’s not fair, but that’s the way it works. Celebrating political violence means at best indifference to that.

Political violence is bad. It usually begets more political violence. Celebrating political violence is bad. It usually encourages more political violence, against various targets. Campus shootings are bad. They make everyone on campus less safe. It's bad that what I wrote here is controversial.

Listen at the end of the day I trust KOC to have a recalibration plan significantly more than I trust the Bears to sustain a good first week so let’s all just consider this one preseason+

I was walking around this afternoon with such a massive headache and after like an hour and more Tylenol than I would ever admit to a medical professional I realized I haven’t had more than 8oz of water in days

I don’t know when Flavor Flav became one of our most consistent statesmen but between funding and promoting women’s sports teams and standing for kids safety with considered talking points…….. it’s definitely our reality

By day: a lot of people are surprised to learn I’m actually old By night: mom core in that I look and act like your mom from the 90s has changed no habits in the ensuing 30 years

Since none of us want to vote for Gavin anyway, can we let him do this now so he creates cover for people we might want to vote for to come up and build infrastructure to win?

Was in a public restroom today and a trio of young teens came in and couldn’t stop giggling and I can confirm two things: 1. It is still a delight to see teens having silly lil fun together 2. The certainty they are laughing AT YOU remains well into adulthood

Stuck at a light checking out the bumper stickers on the car in front of me and I now know this man believes in religious freedom as a core right so much he also believes his religious beliefs should guide lawmaking

I am perfectly happy knowing only two things about Alan Dershowitz: 1. He represented Epstein without qualm 2. He’s very upset everyone on Martha’s Vineyard hates him but not upset enough to stop going, and wants to ensure we all know this

Are the Twins trying to see if they can win with basically just Buxton and Joe Ryan or did they decide they can pay both of them less if they lose nonstop bc they sold everyone else off #tradedeadline

Was there another assassination attempt I just totally missed or are we suddenly talking about that sketchy thing last year again so people stop asking how many little girls he enjoyed

Mike Johnson: "God miraculously saved the president's life -- I think it's undeniable -- and he did it for an obvious purpose. His presidency and his life are the fruits of divine providence. He points that out all the time and he's right to do so."

Sometimes I think about how mean everyone was to Ben Wyatt about the whole Ice Town debacle but like … they all voted him in and then worked in his administration, it’s this kind of blame shifting that’s what’s wrong with American politics, in this essay I will

I finally read Dorian Gray for the first time after just knowing it in the zeitgeist and when I tell you I read so much smut and this is the gayest book I’ve ever read……….

Pride rec for my nerdy queers and allies: Why Fish Don’t Exist by Lulu Miller A full book focused on systematically deconstructing a man and his obsession while slowly building the author’s own sense of self love and acceptance. Also provides several excellent dinner party tidbits!

I did not come of age in the time of Facebook posts about how someone also shopping in a Walmart was actually trying to traffic you and/or your child to allow this nonsense. Your preemptive insanities worked against you this time, racists.

Genuine Question because I Do not understand… so if these men roll up in plain clothes and masks, grab a human being… even a child, and throw them in an unmarked vehicle I am just supposed to look the other way and say nothing ?? Ask Nothing ?

Had to give my kid my DOB for some form today and when I said the year was 83 he asked, “19?” and then when I confirmed he goes “whew” as though a mom-from-the-future scenario was more than he could manage today
