I used this as well when I filled out my ballot today. It was a big help for the judges, and a couple other people I didn't know...

Share the Cities built Lefty Cheat Sheet to better inform Seattle voters of the range of endorsing organizations that exist beyond our two major newspapers. It was built with us and our own communities in mind, and then shared with everyone to use and to customize. leftycheatsheet.org/about.html

I am looking for a new role in a tight Seattle job market. So far this week I've had 6 interviews: every one was w/ an AI prompt platform. Tomorrow I have three more - two with AI which will decide if I go forward, and one a follow up w/ a human from a previous AI call. #AILife #2026jobhunting

Last night was 'coloring' night 🙂 This is the other item I added color and cheer to. I buy these birthday cards from an artist in Portland, OR, and usually buy them by the dozen. I'm showing the back of one of the cards incase anyone wants to order any. I've never met the artist, but I've been

buying her cards for about 10 years now. They come with the design (obviously 😁) and then I color them in w/ either the colors I know someone likes (usually applies more to my women friends, but not always). Or if I don't know, I focus more on the season. I *think* people enjoy receiving them...

@absintheofcolor.bsky.social I just saw your response to my post and yes, in cards that's one of the styles I use. The other styles I honor/emulate are: Rothko, Calder, and Ellsworth Kelly. All favorites of mine. But a total coincidence - I just saw this post 👇and look on the back wall. 😎

It's difficult to overestimate the insidiousness of the patriarchy in media. Take the "beloved" 70s show Green Acres. In the title sequence they argue over living in the country (him) or city (her). At the end of the song, he says, "You are my wife!" and grabs her arm and pulls her with him. Fuck.

A friend of the family in his 80's & still running his own business, created a t-shirt design w/ me in mind & sent one to me. So of course need to send a thank you note 🙂 One of the things I do when I send notes (not Xmas cards) is always add a little piece of art 🎨 It's never fancy just cheerful:

Pretty clear metaphor and a good one! (Except unfortunately those w/ too many acorns don't actually feel it's a problem, only society does...) And what makes this even more timely is that this is an acorn mast year. Brilliant 🌰

Okay, I'll join the club... As I have looked at other's, I see SO many albums I have loved, listened to often, and consider a 'part of my life' as it were. The ones I chose though were *extra* special to me and all of them for kinda different reasons. The only extra I couldn't fit was Van Halen 🎶🎵

I watched this when it came out & really dug it. I already find him super funny, but in addition to the humor, I adored the *structure* of this special. I also often listen to his weekly YT post before falling asleep at night, as it's nice to have one night a week I go to bed smiling and laughing 😁

Finally watched @joshjohnsoncomedy.bsky.social HBO special Symphony and it was great! Different vibe than his weekly Youtube videos, but very funny with story telling and a lot of heart. If art is how you decorate space and music time, comedy is how you decorate reality. <3

This exclusive of mine last night went viral on X. Not so here, so flagging it up again & with an update. There was a direct strike on the roof of the Odesa animal shelter + four other hits nearby according to one of the volunteer managers. 10 cats + 3 dogs were killed. bsky.app/profile/twmc...

Tim White@twmcltd.bsky.social

Heart-breaking scenes in Odesa as Olha Shilimina watches her animal shelter burn down after being hit by a Russian drone. The "Loving Hearts" shelter looked after 150 dogs and 14 cats. It's not known how many Russia killed.

I learned today my local Fred Meyer no longer carries rutabaga I asked & was told it actually sells really well, but the produce mgr wanted that space for more 'interesting' items I love rutabaga, parsnips & turnips in gratins, roasted, stews, etc. & find them very 'interesting'! Boo 😒 #cooking

After my cat almost got lost last week and I almost broke my neck to rescue him - he is no longer allowed to go outside. He has now taken to meowing at a high volume, and weirdly scratching at the front door. I'm convinced he's going to raise a paw and yell "Attica!" any minute now...

My POV --> I was not informed that after 50: * even if your fingernails never broke before, they will constantly break from here on out * you will 'pluck' your chin from now until you die * you will understand why some ppl have ledges or 'seat-type' things in their showers Not happy about this 🤷‍♀️

There is SO much news, I get lost more than I would like to be, but, isn't he suing some group (or entity, media corp, individual, etc...) and the discovery phase of the pre-trial portion of the process about to start? Is this to argue that he should be able to keep his job after details emerge?

Tonight I climbed over the 3rd floor balcony of my apartment building, w/ no safety & nothing to protect me. I wrapped my arms around the railing (quality = aluminum) & used my toes to grip the edge b/c my f*cking cat Aloysius got stuck between the 3rd & 2nd second floors of my building.

He is dirty and covered with some bizarre sticky stuff I can't get off, but home. I had one of my worst moments, and then one of my best when I found the little monster. He was nonchalant - the f*cker. But little does he know - that's the last time he goes outside at this apartment... 😎

It took the Apollo astronauts three days to get to the Moon. The New Horizons spacecraft did that distance in nine hours. And it still took nine-and-a-half years to reach Pluto. The Solar System is stupid big.

Extraordinary, powerful and heart-wrenching. Active duty Marine Colonel Zach Schmidt, speaking in his personal capacity, about Khalil, an Afghan national whose family helped U.S. forces in Afghanistan. Khalil was deported by the U.S. on Friday to a conflict zone.

I gave the kittes a new toy & boy did it cause a reaction! Bjorn was playing when he decided: "this is the hill I will die on" & proceed to guard that wand toy like it was a kitten he popped out himself! I tried to remove it, but he *hissed* at me; Bjorn has never hissed. The wand toy is his...
