This brief summary of yesterday’s letter is really good.

ACLU — NEW ORLEANS: “ICE deported at least two families, including 2 mothers and their minor children – 3 of whom are U.S. citizen children aged 2, 4, and 7. One of the mothers is currently pregnant... 1 child with cancer deported without medication…” www.aclu.org/press-releas...

WISCONSIN: The chair of the elections commission, a lawyer, breaks down what actually happened using the actual complaint. Arresting judges like this is a wild fast-forwarding of our plunge into authoritarianism.

New in PN: RFK Jr. is wrong about autism "The Trump administration's attack on difference, the idea that people who are different are a tragedy and a burden and that they have nothing to contribute — that is fascism. And it is a danger to almost everyone."

In Pope Francis’s last public address, he preached care of the marginalized, the vulnerable, and migrants, saying: “I would like all of us to hope anew and to revive our trust in others, including those who are different than ourselves.” May we heed his wish.

Assuming this post today is aimed at us. The Trump admin changed the rules to make it easier to replace career federal employees with political loyalists. If you’re not alarmed by Trump’s post, you should be. This isn’t about policy it’s about control. It’s “do as I say, or you’re replaced.”
