I'd like to make one thing clear: I've LONG been an advocate for Open Access to scientific knowledge. Both of my books w @mitpress.bsky.social are freely available, and I fought for that! What I oppose is the enclosure (privatization) of profits from 'AI' (LLMs) nonconsentually trained on my work.

Meta included 2 of my books and multiple peer reviewed articles, with zero consent, to train AI that it will sell as a service and generate unbelievable sums of money for itself.
