Hello! I'm CD (formerly underscore) 93! I used to make cinematic media for roleplaying games. You can see most of it at cd93.co.uk I also build cities, conduct espionage and try to figure out what the heck Smite is all about over at twitch.tv/cd93 Forever campaigning for Battle Engine Aquila II.

GB News bumper sticker might just crack the top 5 saddest things I've seen on this Earth.

The "golden age of gaming" isn't one where the vast majority of people who love games can't afford the equipment to play them and where those who make the games get their ideas (and ability to pay rent) stolen from them.

That felt like one of the games of my online multiplayer career. Going to lose the next ten.

NEW: Why did Grand Theft Auto VI take 8+ years to make? How did Rockstar's culture change along the way? I went to Scotland and interviewed the company's top developers for this exclusive Businessweek cover story. Inside the making of the biggest game of all time: www.bloomberg.com/features/202...

bloomberg.comThe Making of Grand Theft Auto VIGrand Theft Auto 6 is expected to be biggest video game blockbuster ever. Here’s the inside story of how Rockstar made it.

I might still be surprised to see a PC version of GTA VI soon after launch, but it’s such a different landscape since R* last effort. No new consoles to prioritise. No appetite for them even if they were imminent. Big GTA community on PC, a platform which has evolved a lot since 2019 So why not?

There's no escaping that this has been the worst year of my life and I'm struggling to adjust to what I want to do next on many different fronts. Many regrets about many percieved wasted years but trying to acknowledge that I've also probably done the best I could under the circumstances.

All the while dealing with physical shit I didn't imagine I would have to think about at this age. I cook good meals. I drink the water. Never smoked. No drugs. I walk the steps and work out most days of the week. But none of it feels worth it when I feel so bad all the time. Doesn't feel fair.

Eventually I'll figure it all out. Or die. One of the two. Until then, I'll keep dreaming of Galactic Racer glory (in need of Steam / Epic pals for these leaderbaords) and grinding these rails with the Unicorn Lady's thighs in Deadlock until the humidity of this house finally fills my lungs.

Somehow I've got to a point where I've been working in the same place for almost two decades and long enough to see multiple good people die unexpectedly. When did I become an old hand at 33? The imposter syndrome is real. There are still rewards to be found but hard to stay afloat sometimes.

Being grounded out of a years-long project that I had devoted so much passion and energy to. Carrying on the pretense that my streaming is worth anyone's time because I've invested in it but I also know what most people came for is no longer in my locker. Hard to know what to pivot to next.

Tearing up thinking about all the bongs that will soon be named Biddy Blazed

Xbox, as an organization, needs to learn to keep their heads down and shut the fuck up.

After a solid month of work, this is finally complete! I don't often take sponsored content but this was an exciting chance to speak with some legendary talent and showcase elements of its development! Give it a look!

Today on DF, a massive new video on STAR WARS: Galactic Racer as @dark1x.bsky.social talks to Fuse Games on the origins of the studio, the collaboration with Lucasfilm and interviews with all major departments on the making of the game: youtu.be/EIPgivtETng #sponsored

When I see my Oculus Rift Dev Kit, I am grateful to have experienced those days. So many weird, novel VR demos and experiences, freely available. A real feeling of possibility for the space. It was just *cool.* The walled gardens to follow were never going to capture the imagination the same way.

A tiny proportion of the membership has managed to set the Green Party back decades. A single ounce of political intelligence would have avoided it.

It's a busy week at twitch.tv/cd93 @dannil0u.bsky.social and I continue our Astroneering after activating the first Gateway Chamber. I'll be returning to the White Orchid for the first time since 2015 in The Witcher 3: Remastered. We'll also mark the arrival of Spooky Month with more Halloween!

Looking forward to checking out The Witcher 3: Remastered next week! Going to be strange reminding myself that these games were by the same team after dipping in and out of Cyberpunk over the last few years.

This era of TV is diabolical. Late recommisions... three year gaps between series... three price hikes for the privilege of seeing any more if it. It's just hard to stay invested in anything any more. Thank god for Slow Horses.

The only thing on regular old television I hung on to watching "live" was Doctor Who. Then they started putting it on iPlayer at midnight so the US audience could enjoy it at prime time and us UK plebs who fund the BBC could wake up to feeds full of spoilers. Just absolutely bonkers stuff.

Anyway now that I've seen photos of Rachel Weisz filming the new Mummy movie I feel considerably better. So lets go back to 24 episodes of cheap wank on TV and save the prestige for the movies.

It's about time someone gave LOOM its flowers. Shoutout to the person I've just seen put Wolverine on their list. Really perked me up.

Starting to put together a list of good games from 2026 since it's getting closer and closer to the end of the year. Nintendo's had a hell of a year, huh? Like I'm not even a Fire Emblem guy but it's easy to imagine Top 10 lists with three or four Nintendo releases on it.
