Anyway, good case study here. You can be as evil as you want, you can kill as many people as is possible, you can shove churro ladies into vans then off to black sites in countries they've never even heard of, but if you can't do the performance of fascism — that's when you're in real trouble.

Honestly, cancel 2027. I'm sick of the owner of my favorite team doing this shit.

Guardians going with Daniel Espino in a do-or-die game as their starter rather than spend one penny in free agency. [breathes in deeply] ah, you smell that, cost savings, baby!

Changing your gender to represent your true self = No way in hell Changing literally everything else to pad your ego = The big boys need their names on things, gimme

Rep. David Maloney, a Republican who represents parts of Berks County, wants to rename Lake Erie to “Lake Pennsylvania,” arguing that the state’s only Great Lake has become increasingly important to Pennsylvania’s economy and identity.

That people are more upset about Trump calling and FIFA overturning Balogun's red card than they are about multiple credibly accused rapists playing with no repercussions says a lot. Miss me with the sanctimony. We've accepted a lot of corruption and bullshit to enjoy this tournament.

This is it

I recall how thrilled I was in 2021 when the Bucks pulled it out, and there were tons of other Bucks fans sharing that joy. New York is way bigger of a fanbase and NYC is a bball city. Good for them, for the real ones.

The World Cup is going to be such a success

Cutting off New York, LA, San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago, and other major ports of entry/departure from international flights would be the biggest self-inflicted wound to our economy since closing the Strait of Hormuz. The costs would be ridiculous. thehill.com/homenews/adm...

My daughter has a girl in her class who speaks Q'anjob'al. When she started that was all she spoke and she had a hard time adapting and learning. What wasn't hard was making friends with my daughter and the others in class who treated her with kindness regardless of the language barrier.

trump's former "commander-at-large" of the border patrol greg bovino says mass deportations, not deporting "worst of the worst" will "correct" places like Plano, Texas having a diverse population

I'm glad we're all talking about geese, there are too damn many of them. They're crowding parks, covering sidewalks in shit, and hissing at everyone. I don't care if they also planted a successful band in the zeitgeist.

As I read college hoops transfer content, no one is talking about revenue sharing caps I thought were in effect after the House settlement. Presumably, football spent their share and basketball has less, but I'm seeing big $ speculated for Bidunga, Crooks, et al. Can someone smarter than I explain?

He's gonna pass everyone (maybe not Kenny, we'll see). What an absolute legend.

With José Ramírez set to become the solo franchise leader in games played for Cleveland today, here’s where he ranks in other notable categories:

I'm not tearing up about the Illini, you are

The moments before One Shining Moment. Yeah, let's make this an annual thing, too. @eve6.bsky.social was a terrific choice from our CBS Sports team.

Maybe the cure for the loneliness epidemic is Keaton Wagler, Tomislav Ivisic, David Mirkovic, Kylan Boswell, Jake Davis, Andrej Stojakovic, Zvonimir Ivisic, and Ben Humrichous

People like to say Underwood can't coach, doesn't make adjustments every time a game goes sideways. Those folks don't know ball. Brad coached a stunner tonight.

This. Don't waste your kill shot.

The next 5 or 6 possessions are so crucial in my opinion. Illinois has given up big leads so many times this year. They can't let Houston back in this game in the next two minutes or so.

Shots not falling at the volume you want to see yet, but love the Illini changing the game plan and attacking the rim so far

Illini Hoops@illinihoops.bsky.social

Loving the offensive rebounding. But gotta make a shot at the rim… fortunate Houston is 0’fer, but the Cougars have settled for jumpers on every single possession so far.

Big commitment to one and done

Despite the first-round exit, AJ Dybantsa showed out in his first NCAA Tournament game. ◽ 35 PTS ◽ 10 REB Up next: potential No. 1 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft?

Want to know why the Big Ten hasn't won a championship since 2000? It's the way refs call the game in this league. When B1G teams have a game reffed by ACC/SEC/Big 12/etc refs, they can't make sense of it

I really appreciate checking in on CBS each year and seeing what people are watching. There are how many NCISes now? Watson is still a thing? The Sheldon-verse just keeps going, huh?

You're looksmaxxing? I'm painmaxxing: getting emotionally over-invested in the outcomes of my favorites sports teams' games in which they all lose. We are not the same
