POCKET MONSTERS

incredibly based that Prince, Michael Jackson and my mum were all born within a few weeks of each other

That's going in the meme folder

net positive day so far.

i am a fire sign and my mother's son. i don't let grudges rule my life but i will hold onto them til my dying day idc. vindication is my best friend lol

and there's the vibe killer. landlord wants to deduct costs from my deposit because of some things that haven't been done. i haven't got the energy to fight them on it because they royally sucked from the start and i'm done. it's not a huge cut but i won't tell my family as they'll be on me about it

the consolation: when i paid for a deep clean at the house before my last one, it cost more than what's been quoted for this one so it was cheaper to do a basic clean and tidy up than if I'd paid someone to do it lolol what a wild world we live in.

also the house is being sold so the future owners bought the house regardless of how spotless it'd be.

i'm begging there to be a feedback form so i can rip into the letting agency and the landlord about it all. they can swivel.

At the office today and had to go into town to get a birthday present for my sister and it was... pleasant? Not too many people around, had a generally nice atmosphere and ambience. Made me feel good.

I usually feel that closer to Christmas when the spirit is in fuller flow but it wasn't even that this time. I'm grateful because I usually hate it in town and have to put my headphones on but not today.

Between that and how Ultra Moon is making me feel, I'm getting those old school nostalgia vibes without doing anything particularly nostalgic. Running it back "safely" lol

the buzz I used to get in 2019 when I'd just started learning Python and couldn't figure a thing out after hours of work and the next day it was like "oh yeah!" and I did it. I miss it.

If you love Excavate and/or this bot and find them useful or fun, it would be very appreciated if you helped towards renewing the domain name. Just a one time donation helps, but obviously continued support would be amazing. Sorry for this, the cards will continue very shortly!

Sorry for the interruption. @excavate.top is coming to its second anniversary (November 7th!), and it's nearing the moment I need to pay to renew the domain name. I've been dreading this moment: I'm unemployed and surviving off very little money every month, so this is gonna hurt my finances.

lolol

i don't know anybody at game freak but i'm pretty sure they aren't sweating over vibe coded ROM hacks or any of the many revisits/remasters/recomps/rewhatevered versions of gen 1–4 games when they can re-release them and get millions of copies sold like that

it's a clickbait title but i know people genuinely think like that. or my favourite one: maybe the game freak devs don't know how to put <FEATURE> into their games lol

i could start now but my new year's resolution next year is to post in portuguese more, just to build up the muscle memory. desculpe in advance to any of my portuguese-speaking followers, please bear with me 😂

i use duolingo and i know it's not great in many ways and i should use a different app but i'm not in a financial/confidence space to do use a better service or speak to someone in person. maybe one day (see also: going back to the gym which is definitely just a money thing!!)

anyway, i'll muddle my way through in lisbon next month like i usually do. my beloved lisboa ❤️

I think it says a lot that I did a 180 on the two gens I'd disliked the most after playing them again in 720p (and revisiting them years later with a more mature mind)

And sure I missed all the events at the time but also pkhex et al lol

It's funny when people explain how the shiny odds ACTUALLY work (ty for your service!) but when they get like a sub-100 shiny, they'll be like “the universe has given me this luck and now they will restore balance by making my next shiny so over odds that I'll wonder if they shiny locked everything”

(that's no shade on anyone btw!!! i get it, it just makes me chuckle a bit)

I didn't expect to be in that clichéd work situation where a colleague at the same level was acting like they were above me but here we are.

weasels need better PR because look at this little guy!

otters have it good despite some messed up and aggressive behaviours (dumbing it down because it's NSFW) and they could help out their species mates lol

Since putting up our links page, we've been inundated with requests to feature Pokémon TCG apps, focused on buying/selling, many of which were created with AI. They aren't fansites, or a website and project with good morals. So it's quite simple, we will never promote your slop.

Garak: I’m sick of being tolerated. Garak: Either adore me or despise me you cowards.

in other news, i'm loving the outfits some of you are posting! if i haven't already told you, you look great today! and if i have... you still look great today!

i feel like every sunday recently has had a nice ahhhhh period in the middle and then there's an AHHHHHH period at night and i wish the higher power would turn the caps lock off for once
