Interested in understanding things. Started with computers, human interaction, humankind in general. Since 2023 heavily engaged in the topic of Generative AI in a professional, critical and user centric way. Still seeing the good in people. Introvert.

Though I'm probably nuts to flog the Agile dead horse, I have to point out that the _only_ concrete practice in the Agile Manifesto is the retrospective. All that other garbage—Sprints, backlogs, reviews, points, velocity, epics, POs, SMs, release trains, &c.—is not mentioned. Just sayin'. 1/2

If you are a "Scrum shop," where everybody marches in lockstep to the same process/framework drum, you are not Agile. Period. Agile teams are self-organizing, and among other things, that means that every team gets to decide how it's going to do its own work (and how to align with other teams). 1/5

AI makes your work harder, not easier. I think of it as work density—the percent of time spent expending brain cells. The denser the work, the more exhausting it is. If you have 10 agents running at once, you have 10x the context swaps, each of which requires recovery time. 1/5

Rule of thumb: when someone still argues for conventional nuclear, they are either working in that industry or get paid for making the case - against all financial logic and evidence.

When we make decisions based on AI output volume alone, ignoring everything else that goes on during product development, we do more harm than good, to the point where the organization may be better off abandoning AI development entirely. 1/11

Arg. Wahrscheinlich ein Einzelfall.

We expect a system juggling vast, unrelated tasks to flawlessly execute one isolated line from a file after a 20-minute chat. It’s an interesting look at how skipping upfront scope and context creates a complex web of system states we don't always realize.

I do not like the idea of speeding up the part of work that manufactures software without having more clarity before, during and after it. Prioritize a map (direction finding) over pure (dumb) horsepower instead of the other way around.

Official fan of herdr now 👍 - was able to remove some cmux scripting and lots of prompt-begging to properly check when subagent is done ... like it. Subagent for peer-review and one mostly-sane (less context) guide is useful overall IMO for well structured changes!

If you really want to treat AI-generated code as a black box, your tests have to be immaculate and extensive. For example, are you testing for all of the following (not an exhaustive list and in no particular order)? All Functionality, including all corner cases. 1/6

Think about going on vacation with family... if everyone has different goal, conflict happens fast. It is same with AI. It needs explicit context and values. With humans we do onboarding over time... why we expect AI to understand everything from day one? 🤔

Picking the model that "gets your nuances" puts your setup on someone else's release cycle. So I tried making those steps part of the system instead.

A chilling look at humans in the future... He’s definitely not in control. We must be careful not to become the "responsible gearwheels" in the machine... just executing the tasks the system can’t automate yet.
