389 days ago, we started shooting FAIRY DUST. In just over 30 days, the film will be complete. I absolutely cannot wait to show off everyone's hard work on this tiny--but somehow gloriously epic--film of ours. Next up: Keep an eye out for our full trailer sometime before the new year! #scriptsky

The edit for A STRANGE KIND OF CREATURE has officially been locked and handed off to composer Blakmoth to work his magic. This beautifully weird body horror short stars Flavie Ravenhill and Josh Neal and is produced by Udda Studios in association with Film i Västerbotten. #scriptsky #filmsky

In the studio today working on the FAIRY DUST sound design with Gerard Alís Raurich.

It's official! DESOLATION HEART will be playing at this year's Umeå Filmfestival! "A traumatized young woman with a unique but uncontrollable ability to move between dimensions must confront both her past and her future, even if it means the end of the world." fb.me/e/4XtaeAzuT

I think I’ve locked onto the concept for my next short, which will be a SCP Foundation-inspired B&W sci-fi horror thing. #scriptsky

Got to hear an audio sample of some of the FAIRY DUST characters now that they’ve been recorded and mixed with effects and…wow. It never ceases to amaze me how much a film comes alive in the sound design and mix. Our audio engineer Gerard Alís Raurich is doing a killer job on this film. #scriptsky

Billionaires get mad at things that can't be bought, like talent. Surely they should be able to write books and perform music and have mathematical insights just as well as the talented -- they're rich! If we let them dismiss and devalue real talent, we're going to pay a big price.

Sent our WIP for A STRANGE KIND OF CREATURE off to two festivals yesterday. Really loving how the edit came together and how damn good composer Blakmoth's initial score for it is. Now it's on to polish up the rough bits and finalize score, sound design, and mix. The finish line is close! #scriptsky

After 40+ festivals, my eco body horror short VINES finally hits youtube! Thanks to CryptTV for adding our short to their channel! No AI. Practical Monster: Human performers, stop motion animated. Give it a like and a share if you enjoy! www.youtube.com/watch?v=4sTg...

Some of my favorite musician portraits I’ve shot over the years.

ADR & grade done this week on FAIRY DUST, sound design & mix almost done. Film delivers in 3 weeks, marking end of post! A STRANGE KIND OF CREATURE wraps edit this week, then out as a WIP to 2 fests. UNDER THE MIDNIGHT SUN submitted to fest. Outlining new feature, THE PALE DARK, now. #scriptsky

It's 1 year ago. I'm on set in Croydon for the third day of filming. It's our last day in London before production moves to Wales. Today marks our first day featuring the fantasy world of The Husk. We've got 7 pages to get in the can today. Will we make it? www.patreon.com/chadmichaelw... #scriptsky

Still in need of at least 3 subs this month. My weekly Patreon features production journals from several of my films, script pages, BTS photographs, an archive of my photography work and more...

Radical publishing notion, right here: if your publishers are making a living from publishing and selling your books, then you, the author, should be making a living from writing them.

Help! Like many, I'm short on funds to cover bills this month. Four $5 subs to my Patreon would help that gap. If you enjoy the art of indie filmmaking, my page shares production journals, script pages and general thoughts as a writer-director. www.Patreon.com/chadmichaelward

"How the hell did you get to make a feature film?" It's a story that started in 2019 on a rooftop in London with little more than a feeling in my gut. Where it went from there, no one could have predicted. You can read about my journey here: Patreon.com/chadmichaelward

Other portraits that I’ve shot and loved over the years. #photography

Got the ADR in for our Alabaster the Blind character in FAIRY DUST. One of the only characters that didn't have a voice on shooting day. Hearing the "real" voice finally is so, so, so cool.

Yo internet friends. Get yourself some artists on your timeline. There's a TON of amazing artists still out there making incredible stuff. Seeing it will bring joy on your timeline and you never know, maybe you end up purchasing some incredible art made by humans.

FILMMAKERS, SCREENWRITERS, and BANDS! We all know AI sucks ass, so if you've got a movie, a screenplay, an album cover or any other poster-type needs, you're gonna want art made by human hands*. Let's talk about getting you set up with something wicked for your project! *It's me, I'm human hands.

Today I learned how to make mucus/goo by boiling linseeds. Used it for a gloriously disgusting insert shot for A STRANGE KIND OF CREATURE that we shot today.

Loved getting a chance to read Paul’s wonderful script and have a chat about it!
