I feel every time anyone writes "developed with a core team of XX" about a game, they have a responsibility to write "developed by YY developers with only XX developers being employed"

ELRIC AT THE FORGE OF FOREVER (2019) Acrylic on Watercolor Board - 14 ½” x 6 ½” When I tossed out the old container of paints used to do the cover painting for WORDS OF RADIANCE, it landed upside down in my wastebasket on a piece of paperboard I had been using as a palette for something else.

Things you don't expect to hear: "There is a small issue with this aircraft. We will try turning it off and on again". It didn't work, by the way. Had to board another one in the end.

Your last saved meme is your moral philosophy. (Now I wouldn't call this a "moral philosophy", but somebody did recently say to me something along the lines of "Somehow you never seem to break". So I guess this is kind of accurate...)

I watched Nolan's Odyssey so I can finally jump on the bandwagon (no actually I am glad it is late and I am skipping the Discourse). I had low-ish expectations: I was prepared to absolutely dislike Damon as Ulysses, but I actually kind of like it. i did read the book both in school and for pleasure.

Harrison Ford has been my celebrity crush since I was... 10 years old? He still is and will always be the One and Only for me. (Second place goes to Charlize Theron in Æon Flux).

If I had a time machine and could go back in time, I would use it to meet Carl Sagan and see David Bowie live. Pretty sure I could fit it into a single time-trip even if that was a requirement, like a "you get only One Chance / One Time-trip " thing.

There will be many professional photos shared of this event and my crappy mobile phone picture taken through the balcony panels is kind of "meh", but it is mine and I am enjoying the moment. 😅

Accessibility Awareness
@a11yawareness.bsky.social

Some are suggesting you deliberately write inaccurate or confusing alt text, because they say this confuses AI scrapers that are analyzing images. The purpose of alt text is to help people who cannot see the image. Deliberately misrepresenting the image is a gross misuse of alt text. Don't do it.

Robin-Yann Storm@rystorm.com

Holy shit: Deutsche Bahn has made the insane decision to stop all train traffic between Düsseldorf and Cologne... during the week of Gamescom.
