do people think George Clooney picks candidates

Sherrilyn Ifill@sifill.bsky.social

I’ll say this and then I’m gonna step back b/c 2026 IS THE ONLY NATIONAL ELECTION THAT’S IMPORTANT NOW. No Dem presidential candidate wins w/o high Black turnout & vote. So stop making it like Black voters are expendable or that you can serve up any candidate chosen by Pelosi, Clooney or MSM & win.

I think it's funny to say people "criticized JD Vance" when it's more like "last Pope and current Pope literally read the Bible differently and correct Vance on obvious doctrinal errors"

if I were better at coding I'd start a website that takes Elon's claimed DOGE savings and factors it into a tax refund for the median income family. Right now DOGE check is like...12 dollars. *waves tiny flag*

Hi, everybody! Jon here. Unfortunately, since ChatGPT is down at the moment, I'm unable to generate my usual Bluesky posts. As soon as it's up and running again, I'll be able to resume the sorts of posting you've come to expect from me over the years. Thanks all.

*doing breathing exercises* don't freak out about the Gulf of America. He wants you to freak out about the Gulf of America. Focus on the real issues. Woooooossssssaaaaahhhhh

TRUTH: The massive fire that destroyed Altadena was not a “forest fire.” The fire had nothing to do with forest management or water policy. Three main reasons the fire exploded: 1. Drought-like conditions 2. Very low relative humidity 3. Santa Ana winds reaching 100 mph (Video by Stuart Palley)

never forget that Carter and a couple other guys went to Haiti to do shadow diplomacy and were very nearly held hostage as the US invaded

BREAKING: Jimmy Carter has died at 100. The 39th president of the United States, who served from 1977 to 1981, was perhaps more famous for the life he led after leaving office — as an advocate for peace and human rights. Read about his lasting legacy.

hilarious to me that the GOP has a whole complex of failed GOP candidates and Dems have a "one and done" rule somehow

The Washington Post@washingtonpost.com

In the wake of her own 2024 loss, Vice President Kamala Harris and her allies are grappling with what her political future holds and debating whether the unofficial rule still applies — specifically, whether her first shot at the White House as the Democratic nominee should also be her only one.

The cutting irony is that the two big things Kamala supposedly “broke” and that Trump will “fix” - inflation and border crossings are…already fixed! He doesn’t have to do anything! All done!

I'm sorry you don't like George Conway and people at the Lincoln Project. Indeed most of them have a sordid past. But for the last eight years they've been fighting against Trumpism/fascism probably much more than you have. Either you're part of the coalition to defeat this thing or you're not.
