Isn’t it interesting how the media tries to portray the younger generations as lazy….

🚨 NEW: Research has found one in five working-age adults are now on Universal Credit This includes 1.3 million people in their 20s, 2 million in their 30s and 1.9 million in their 40s according to the TaxPayers’ Alliance

Can we now pretend that Madueke is injured?

🚨 Tino Livramento to miss World Cup with calf injury. Not serious but significant blow for Newcastle United defender & #England ahead of opener vs #Croatia; 23yo returning to #NUFC + Trevoh Chalobah called up 🚨 W/ @jacobtanswell.bsky.social @theathleticfc.bsky.social www.nytimes.com/athletic/736...

If rumours of Burnham standing in Rusholme or Withington are true then I genuinely don't see how they beat the Greens in either of them. I think despite his popularity, people will tactically vote against him as they know he's only standing there to become PM.

He just doesnt get it. This is about your opposition. This is about you and the Labour party.

Paul Brand@paulbrand.bsky.social

BREAKING: "I get it. I feel it. And I take responsibility", says Starmer. Starmer says "We are facing dangerous opponents. Very dangerous opponents." [Read: Reform UK] He says if Labour doesn't get things right, "our country will go down a very dark path".

“I’m happy we’ve done it for the club” - done what? Reached a major final? You realise you have not won the Champions League?

Fabrizio Romano (MIRROR)@fabrizioromano.yopro20.com

❤️🤍 Declan Rice: “This era of Arsenal fans, I know people that have been there from the start have had a lot of ups and downs”. “I'm happy we've done it for the club and for this set of players and our manager because everyone deserves it”.

Tbh I think this is a good thing. If Nigel was to debate he would just go on about hypnoboob which the right wingers would love and he'd just go on about the legalising drugs policy being dangerous (even though he called for it previously). He would have no interest in actual policy debate.

Zack Polanski@zackpolanski.bsky.social

Nigel Farage asked on BBC news this morning if he'd debate with me. Says he's too busy with the local elections & it will just be a "big row." I've been asking him for months. Someone's running scared? Vote Green.

This is terrifying

4/ Ok, so what ARE the goals? It seems, primarily, destroying lots of missiles and boats and drone factories. But the question that stumped them: what happens when you stop bombing and they restart production? They hinted at more bombing. Which is, of course, endless war.

2016: Nigel Farage - "Vote Brexit to secure our borders" 2026: Zia Yusuf - "Vote Reform to secure our borders" We are being treated as mugs #PoliticsLive

The only thing that’s exaggerated is the way that party like to describe the negative impacts of immigration.

Zack Polanski@zackpolanski.bsky.social

Reform have totally let the cat out of the bag about who they are. Zia Yusuf lecturing that poverty and peoples everyday struggles with rising bills and rent is exaggerated. A party of the failed status quo, funded and representing big corporate interests.

“The US spy firm Palantir lobbied via Peter Mandelson has crucial data on our healthcare system, that needs terminating!“ - @zackpolanski.bsky.social Barry Gardiner’s anger is justified too. How dare ‘blue Labour’ lot try and make this out as a ruck between them and Labour Left! #Newsnight

Firstly reform have never given serious detail on their policies. Secondly, I’m okay with this as long as everything is based on facts and stats and not BS narratives that Zia will push.

🚨 NEW: Zia Yusuf challenges Zack Polanski to a live debate in Gorton and Denton “You owe it to the public to engage seriously on the substantive detail of your policy platform”

Matt Goodwin was my university tutor. I’ll have a few things to say about him over the coming weeks.

Pippa Crerar@pippacrerar.bsky.social

NEW: Former academic Matt Goodwin has been announced as Reform UK's candidate for the Gorton & Denton byelection.

Sorry but I had to laugh at this - it does pretty much sum up reform voters

YouGov@yougov.co.uk

How would Britons vote at the start of 2026, by education level? Top qualification: Degree or higher Labour: 25% Green: 21% Lib Dem: 18% Conservative: 16% Reform: 13% Top qualification: GCSE or lower Reform: 42% Conservative: 21% Labour: 12% Lib Dem: 10% Green: 9% yougov.co.uk/politics/art...

Firstly Starmer said country before party before election 😂 and secondly I think he means billionaires before country

Politics UK@politicsuk.com

🚨 NEW: Nigel Farage has hinted more MPs will defect to Reform UK before the local elections It comes as Kemi Badenoch holds an emergency meeting with all Tory MPs this evening

Tbf we all know it wouldn’t have been an interview anyway. Would have just been a friendly conversation between Laura and Nigel. They’re too scared to question him properly.

Zack Polanski@zackpolanski.bsky.social

Week by week - Laura Kuenssberg is interviewing the party leaders. When I agreed to come on the show, I was told Nigel Farage was also doing it. He's now pulled out - and they've sent the deputy instead. The same Nigel Farage who's refusing to debate me. A pattern emerging...

I find it hilarious when people say they vote for Reform cos it’s something different…. The party is full of former tories who have been in government before. It’s no different - you know exactly what they’re gonna do

This has to happen in my opinion. Yes, there will be ways around it I’m sure, but to make it difficult to sign up in the first place is only a good thing.
