Harry Kane is a fantastic footballer, a great role model, and now, the world's best. The professional's professional. In a world of ferocious egos and stroppy has-beens, football needs more Harry Kanes.

Assuming Utd's next move may be to lurch for someone with significant pedigree. He will inevitably fail and be replaced with a former Utd player who will do well as an interim, before falling short as permanent boss. Meanwhile, executives and players will continue to stink the place out

Monday's Premier League briefing: ☣️ #MUFC: who's to blame? Glazers/Ratcliffe, executives, some of the players. Carrick, out his depth, will pay the price but he can at least hold his head high. 🤫 #LFC quiet improvement under Iraola 🍒 #AFCB unsung heroes www.nytimes.com/athletic/772...

Hard to argue with this. Only imo The Office (Uk), Fawlty Towers and Blackadder come close

With just six half-hour episodes, POLICE SQUAD remains, pound for pound, the single funniest television program ever produced.

On which note, I do recall my first-ever visit to AFCB and having to do a walk of shame down the main stand after my car reg got called out over the Tannoy. I'd parked my car behind one of the goals (no stand then!) and left my windows open.

Wish no ill on the great progress of a club like AFCB, but something feels very broken with football's overall model - one that allows Premier League clubs to be so dominant against the backdrop of the Man City saga and resulting inflated financial ecosystem.

BBC Three’s removal from free to air makes sense. It may be an age thing but it was limited appeal. Scotland not so much but they do still have Alba. I quite like 4 extra but always listened online anyway. Make Three a BBC sport channel that would work for some and it wouldn’t interrupt others.

Tumble weed across legacy media about ITV's exposé of Reform. Can you imagine the hysteria if an SNP councillor advocated for concentration camps or a Muslim Labour candidate said he wants to shoot MPs he considers traitors? The Mail front pages, Telegraph thinkpieces, and somber Today interviews?

Fairly open racism and far right talking points from someone who is, last time I checked, a Conservative peer.

ITV is exposing racism & misogyny within Reform. Farage’s threat to take legal action against ITV’s undercover reporters rather than tackle their findings says a lot about his inclination to play victim. The question is not how ITV investigated Reform but why Reform allows such behaviour to persist.

Watching last night's BBC2 coverage of 1986 hits on iPlayer? If so, I know just the accompaniment. THE SLUM SPORT covers the 1985/86 football season. See how many of the hits you can spot among the chapter titles...

Remember when Spitting Image mocked Reagan with a regular skit called 'The President's brain is missing'? What the hell would they make of this pillock?

So Maralago Fats totally misses the Beast and instead goes for a dementia stroll while the secret service scurries around him to redirect him back to the car. He’s basically little more than a barely walking , talking Trump steak.

A measure of character is to return points (preferably through wins) from adversity. WBA do that. Still a few screws that need tightening, but maybe that's part of their charm. The side has imperfections, sometimes annoying imperfections. But I quite like that about them

Hoping this documentary budget stretches to Sandwell. There are a few there who could do with the Roger Cook treatment

Reminds me of the day in 2010 when Armand One scored in the first minute for Stranraer v East Stirlingshire, the only goal of the game. Stranraer 1 (One 1) - ES 0. True story.

We don't need a documentary to tell us something we all knew, but good that it's going to all come out on the small screen.

Pretty grim that the Premier League champions are having to cut office jobs. Meanwhile, the third choice keeper is on a reported £50k a week. Oh, and Arteta wants bigger matchday squads to help him negotiate games more easily. Wrong on every single level. Football; broken.

Football club banter has reached a stage where a 62-year-old man gets intentionally drunk at an Ipswich match to deliberately throw himself onto supporters in the lower tier of a stand. Can we please go back to the international break? Club football isn't something I recognise any more.
