don't we all have that task we procrastinated for weeks only to complete in 10 minutes

boomers (& others) who read huxley’s brave new world and adopt the alpha/b/g/e to navigate their lives, always position themselves as alphas superior to others — and im sorry but yall are just some betas in the eyes of whoever w more whatever capital (also huxley was a eugenicist—wake up shepple)

💀 i blame stress from work drama for my random bursts of seething rage 💀

when ur student forgets to observe the Bb key signature in a F major piece: you know what, you're getting ahead of urself with that lydian mode, pal. you'll learn it eventually tho in music theory.

reporting a bias incident of me thinking that i am funny (i am biased)

got a 0% on my last CITI module quiz but hey, finished the recertification! 😂

reading the belmont report's discourse of "(in)justice" while being delirious post dayquil is ~an experience~

getting more emotional than usual upon seeing tuskagee study mentioned burn it all down just molotov cocktail it all

i have the idea of wearing the sims' plumbob as my halloween costume (low key, funny, doesn't interfere with teaching) but i have no energy to turn that into reality.

monday of week 5: dear diary, this morning i took my emergency dayquil in my office (cries)

our faculty union sent an email reminding us that we're entitled to sick leave but, in many such cases, the stress of figuring out subs/alternative plans is worse than taking dayquil and pushing thru 🫠 (gotta get better tho before smt next week)

our C.A.T. model J has built-in shock absorption while our model S is aerodynamic both models come with built-in alarm and do not disturb features

once again i built the keyboard lab for my spouse’s classroom but at what cost? AT WHAT COST!!! (my sanity & health)

playing diminished seventh in all keys just to feel something

dir said I play better with helmet on ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

oh no, one of my singers said i’m the sassiest pianist they’ve worked with and i refuse to believe that is true.

my wife said it’s nice that i have a korean wife and she wants her own korean wife so i guess we’re accepting applications? but what if my korean wife’s korean wife got a korean wife and then they all unionized? do i have to break their union?

maybe the simplest solution is i myself become a korean wife? why didn’t i think of this before!!!

an unintended conclusion of the asd/adhd study/interviews my team is doing: many teachers (who are former asd/adhd students themselves) ~yeeeaaarrrrnnnn~ for a supportive community of other asd/adhd music teachers (or students) it would be cool to have interest group within mtna like ams/smt do.
