While Francis is basically me, but dog (friends can attest); Felix isn't. Felix Fursey Cæp-Buffélaugh *the second F is silent) it's the third son of a minor, monied county-set Anglo family of the mid-1950s. His parents had hoped he'd join the Air Force on leaving his minor public school...

Day two of the move and the BYV has been joined by an LBV (Little Beige Van, sadly not Late Bottled Vintage port). Should be unloading into the new house this afternoon.

The BYV (Big Yellow Van) has arrived. Wish is luck with moving house!

*us Wish us luck.

The BYV (Big Yellow Van) has arrived. Wish is luck with moving house!

If anyone is keeping track (only me), the move stats are: BYV x2 BBV (Big Blue Van) x1 BBV (Big Beige Van) x1 I've only actually been moved once by a firm using a vehicle with their main company livery on.

16 June

Tuesday! My obliques are starting to ease (hooray). Managed more weight on all the machines today and learnt a new initialism: AMRAP - As Many Reps As Possible. Nothing really picture worthy, so here is a photo of one of my parents' cats looking how I feel. #FitnessFur

19 June

Forgot Thursday (again), not sure what it is with me and Thursdays. Legs, of course. Hit some PBs on the machines and my PT snuck on an extra 10kg on the leg press. My only complaint is that I look a right 'nana standing there trying to work out which weights I need to put on the machine.

9 June

Upper body day again (Tuesday) still feeling it after Saturday, so nice and gentle. Keeping the consistency! Everything aches, but in a good way. #FitnessFur

13 June

I did do Thursday! Just forgot this. Been with my PT today. Looks like I've over worked my obliques (really hurts!) so no lifting today, just some machine work. The rest of Saturday will be spent moving gingerly and going "ow". #FitnessFur

9 June

June is Pride Month. Sadly, many (by no means all) Christians will approach this in a hurtful way. Jesus gives the commandment to love one another as he has loved us, and nowhere does he hedge that with '...except...'. As a queer Christian priest, I weep for the hurt done to my LGBTQ+ siblings.

9 June

This Pride Month, as every day, I promise to strive to make the churches I lead to be welcoming and inclusive. Anglican churches have a long way to go, but I'm pleased to be in the Church in Wales as the province works towards marriage equality. #Pride #LGBTQ #InclusiveChristian

Thursday, so legs. Nothing spectacular, but solid work. Building up the confidence to post a progress photo.

6 June

Full body (weightlifting) day. I still hate the pull up machine, but managed 100kg deadlift (roughly 4x my dog) and feeling pretty good about myself today. So here's a photo. #FitnessFur

30 May

Saturday again! Got up to 80kg on a deadlift and 35kg on the bench press. Muscles that I didn't know I had are now aching. #FitnessFur

2 June

Tuesday! Cracking on with it. I've lost 5kg so far, which I'm really happy with.

26 May

Tuesday again. It's far too warm, so really feel like I've done a workout. Still sorting out the food side. Otherwise feeling good!

28 May

Thursday is leg day. Hit a personal best on the leg press (which truly looks like a torture device). I can press 4 of my dog. She has no idea that she's now a metric of weight. She does have her ball. #FitnessFur

21 May

Thursday is legs. Contrary to popular belief, I do have some. And the hamstring curl machine is evil. Also, it Booth encouraging and a bit disconcerting when my PT walked past with a bottle of cleaner and shouted "Go on, Felix, yes!", I was in a little world of my own on the bike. #FitnessFur

23 May

Saturday beasting done! Several PBs, including deadlifting (effectively) two of my dog (one on each end of the bar). Everything aches and my arms are wobbly. #FitnessFur

Right, back at the gym. Need to lose some weight and generally improve my fitness. Going to do this thread to keep track and keep motivated. Maybe with pictures. #fitnessfur

Today, I found out that I could (if so inclined) fairly easily deadlift my dog.

19 May

Tuesday done! Upped weights on everything and tried a new machine (crunches). Definitely felt crunched afterwards! #FitnessFur
