Cincinnati General Strike

War criminals. Netanyahu is in Washington DC, for the fifth time in 10 months. It’s always been US-Israeli genocide.

The upward redistribution of wealth over the past 50 years has shifted $80 trillion from the bottom 90% of Americans to the top 1%.  That’s $80 trillion that would have gone into the paychecks of the working class. The greatest trick of all is trickle-down economics.

Season 1 of Imperfect Strike is coming soon and we're not your usual podcast. MID-SUMMER 2025 #imperfectstrikelive #podcast #civics

There is some chatter about how we shouldn't deter anyone from organizing a general strike. That's 100% true, and we are interested in learning from or collaborating with any other group who is working on making this happen. But there are issues with just setting a (very close) date. 🧵

🚨 360,000+ STRONG 🚨 The people are moving. Each signature is a crack in the foundation of the system that exploits us. This is not just a petition, it’s the early heartbeat of a revolutionary strike. Organize. Agitate. Build. #GeneralStrikeUS #PowerToThePeople #GeneralStrike generalstrikeus.com

‼️Call to Action‼️ In solidarity with our friends over at @communalpress.bsky.social, please participate in a national sick day on July 1st. It’s these moments that help build that mental callus to get people more comfortable with a long term general strike. #sickday #generalstrike #solidarity

We are going to be leading this protest and speaking! Make it out if you can. ✊ HAPPY PRIDE 🏳️‍🌈

No Kings Ohio Final Count!! We had over 88 protests statewide, and an estimated 101,861 attending! And that’s with missing a few towns which we were not able to get attendance from! Ohio, YOU did this, huge thanks to all of the organizers out there!

Heya Heya, here's Maia the #gsus ghost with the latest commit count: 355,797

My friends, it's not just happening in a galaxy far, far away.

June 14th day of info: We will gather at University Pavilion @ 2618 University Circle, Cincinnati, OH @ 11 AM followed by a march heading North on Clifton Ave. We will turn right on Ludlow & end at the intersection of Brookline Ave & Ludlow/Jefferson Ave where Brookline dead-ends into Burnet Woods.

We are united against kings. Trump has already said that he’s aiming for a third term, & now he’s planning a self-aggrandizing military parade in D.C. But the American people don’t put up with kings. We will mobilize in huge numbers to reject this corruption & abuse of power—it’s in our DNA.

Folks have many questions about the General Strike U.S., understandably. So hopefully we can address some of those in this post. First - security. Here's a thread on staying safe re: the Strike Card. Additionally, we are making the phone # optional on the updated strike card, so stay tuned. 🧵

When is enough, enough? This has gone way too far. These are not deportations, they are kidnapping. Power and Control.

Signing the strike card is just the start. Real power comes from sustained action. We must prioritize our most vulnerable: elders, single parents, and the marginalized, ensuring their needs are met. Numbers mean little if we depend on the capitalist system. #Generalstrikeus

Save the date!

Let's tackle mutual aid in bite-sized chunks: Can you look over these resources and start pod-mapping in your neighborhoods this week? ⬇️ drive.proton.me/urls/R53SC5N... Talk to your friends and neighbors, see what other people are doing and how you can help or fill a different need.

Are you struggling with what to do next? Does a General Strike seem out of reach? We get it. We've protested, but we need the next step. Here's how we get there. We're building infrastructure for mutual aid, a huge component of our ability to stay on strike.

We have a responsibility to resist the systems of corruption, exploitation, and oppression. From the plantations of the past to the wage slavery of the present, this system thrives on our labor while denying us dignity, equity, and justice. Why do you want a General Strike? #GeneralStrikeUS
