Hello again #Portfolioday! My name is Jestenia! I'm a children's book illustrator and character designer based in Boston. I would love it if you kept me in mind for any viz dev or picture book projects 🌱Portfolio: citrusfoam.com 🌱Contact: jestenia.cfoam@gmail.com

It’s dark at 6:30pm. This cannot stand

I can tell right wing bot accounts are trying harder to target women due to them referring to the Victoria’s Secret fashion show as “women’s World Cup”. Sorry but only a dude could forget that’s already a thing 😭

I have yet to read a good reimagining of A Modest Proposal, but that Larry David one panning the DSA … oh brotherrrrr. Must’ve collabed with Seinfeld on that one

I was cooking with these last year. going to try and rework them somehow

There’s few things harder than trying to scrape yourself off the couch to clean the kitchen

Katia is so domesticated. Power went out in the building so we couldn’t use the elevator and she was like >:(. It’s only 7 floors QwQ

Calling back to Year of the Snake

Wasn’t interested in watching Better Call Saul but someone on Twitter framed Walter White as cosmic justice for Saul’s, Gus’s and Mike’s hubris and now I’m like :O

On my rewatch of BB 2 years ago all I could think of was “this was a well-oiled machine. Its collapse is all Walt’s fault >:(“

Resident Evil. I liked it! Wasn't feeling the very ending tho. If I could use a successful example of what I think it was going for is The Substance, where it makes you go "oh geezus the MC is so fucked right now aaaaaA"

but unlike The Substance, Resident Evil is really lean and energetically consistent throughout. Recommend!

I def need to see Resident Evil this weekend. People posting spoilers galore and I have no self control

Knowing a specific detail or big plot point isn’t a big deal for me, the journey getting there is where the movie happens. I just can’t stop reading 😭

Just realized Primetime comes out this weekend too aaaaa. Weird guy double feature, maybe

Sadge A Witch in Mongolia only has 2 more eps in the season. Def one of the few adaptations where I’d recommend the anime as much as the manga

It feels like the ratio of beloved figures we lose to the vile ones is unfair but it's a reminder there are way more good people out there

Definitely going to make a point to tell restaurants I go to I’m there because they don’t use genAI in their signage/menu. The stuff that’s coming across my tl looks discostannn

First it was wasp nest wrap, now infinite Geiger shrimp. Bleghhhhh

Tabling at anime cons has made me virtually telepathic, sometimes customers are too nervous to get their order out. While vending at markets has made me fluent in Simlish, its early and no one is enunciating 😭

I always get compliments on putting playlists together but it’s the opposite of how I naturally listen to music, which is 2-4 songs at most being driven into the ground on a loop
