I went on a nice long walk around #Frome, my town, today and finished up with a stroll through Victoria Park. Lovely blustery sunshine. Trees murmuring all around. Autumn is good.

I've really got to stop watching "legal" dramas. I spend all my time shouting at the TV. Tonight it was Sky's War= one big plot hole. A US qualified associate gets a job at a top divorce firm in London, no exemption or SQE in sight. He's not there to advise on NY law so THAT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN!

The "courier hit my car" saga continues. We've got an inexperienced and almost certainly uninsured driver in a national courier co's uniform, impersonating the franchise owner who appears to be fraudulently subcontracting to him, leaving the scene of an accident having caused £4k worth of damage.

That is all very bad. Yes. BUT people who know me know that I look for humour in most things, and there are some positives to be had along the way. I traced the driver's Companies House profile using public resources coupled with my autistic powers of pattern matching and language skills. And...

Seeing on Co. Ho. that the possible match's birthday is in October, and having received unwanted WhatsApps from the driver, I reply with "Happy Birthday" in what I deduce is his first language. He replies thanking me for the good wishes. Dullard. So he's getting a letter before action tomorrow.

We've got a GDPR breach that resulted in a third party turning up on our doorstep, unwanted calls from AMCs and uninvited WhatsApps from the driver. We've got a household name franchisor saying not their problem. Their CEO publicly invites feedback then privately instructs his team to shut it down.

Hours and hours of phone calls and emails from me, all to no avail. Ignored, blocked, patronised, and fobbed off. In desperation I create a mailbox on my domain with a male name attached and sent a demand from that. THAT ONE GOT A REPLY. So let's add corporate sexism to the charge sheet.

The fuck has Ed Gamble done to his hair? Hope it's for another show and not because he thinks it's a good idea. #traitors

Final update today: Airtag is safely home and having a rest. 90% sure = same driver 80% sure = NOT same van. Still a good outcome. I can't specify some other details as the company is taking disciplinary action, but I have enough information now, I think, to get a resolution. Was worth it!

Closing in. Neighbours are invested and have formed a lookout posse. I am getting very little work done but this is the most interesting day of my week. An innocent white van man almost just got accosted but we drew back in time. It's all going down in #Frome More on this developing story soon!

Project Airtag update! It's currently at Babington House, I assume enjoying an overpriced morning coffee. If/when this works, I will NEVER shut up about it.

A local courier drove into my car two weeks ago and so far the company have resisted all attempts to identify him and give me the van numberplate. I've kept an eye out in my town but nothing so far. So... I've just sent myself an #Airtag. He'll have to deliver it somehow. I will update!

Had a glazier round today to quote to fix a Victorian fanlight with cracked panes. He kept suggesting cheap modern options saying "I'm just trying to save you money". In the end, I had to say "let me worry about the cost, you worry about quoting for the job I've asked for". Is it too much to ask?

I don't get why people like Kate are telling Kirsty what a baby kicking feels like when she carried Wren almost to full term? Kirsty is also acting like it's her first time. Odd. #thearchers

If you're on Instagram and are looking (or know anyone who might be looking) to move to the beautiful town of Frome, then please scan the QR code here and like and share as you see fit. Would love to sell to people who will make my beloved Victorian end terrace their home for 20 years as I have.

Just listened to Andy Burnham's second maiden speech (or what I'm calling his born-again virgin speech). He spoke about Hillsborough and I felt the warmth, humour and connection we've been missing. Hopeful for the first time in a long time. #burnham #hillsborough

Conflicted tonight as obviously am supporting England but if my adopted motherland of Norway wins, I will be able to be happy for them too. By the way, it's HAWWLAN, and URDERGORE. Why do people struggle with these names? We didn't call the France and Arsenal legend "Terry Henry", did we?

Surely we should be celebrating now, so that he can see how the news will be received, rather than waiting until it happens and it is too late?

Yes. I defended him for too many years. But this is the final nail in the coffin as far as I am concerned. Shocking statements.

TONY BLAIR. Once a CUNT, always a CUNT. Wonder what files they have on Tony ….

#thearchers tonight's episode was a corker. Hard to listen to, because I've witnessed that "you're not even my real children" thing in my extended family, but very true to life.

And... this played out with a retraining "opportunity" for the train manager on disabilites that are not obvious, and basic customer service, and a first class (single) ticket from anywhere to anywhere on the CrossCountry network for me. Penzance to Aberdeen is tempting just for the hell of it.

A tale in two photos. I'm on a #crosscountrytrains service. Picture 1 is my suitcase up above my head where the burly train manager insisted I (he) put it. Picture 2 is the empty luggage rack where I could reach it. I can't get it down myself. Ableist bully. Oh and no refreshments either.

When he's dead, do you think we'll ever find out WHY he was allowed to get this far? And how? Or are there too many people with too much to lose? Doomsday scenarios aside, how is this going to play out? I really want to know what you think. I must be one of millions asking how, why. Why? WHY?

#thearchers all too often the writers get a character to do something so out of character just to move a plot point forward that many of us have to resort to tutting online about it. Rex would never have turned up drunk on Alice's doorstep.

Americans, with much love to the majority of you who didn't vote in this regime, you do realise that the rest of the world is severely disappointed in you, don't you? We can never unsee this stuff, never understand how you let this happen.

He lives near me, so it is not odd to see him, but I am always so star struck when I see Carlos Acosta out in the wild, as I did this morning again. What a phenomenal artist.

Justin is going to give Chelsea some "business mentoring".... It's the equivalent of going onto Dragons Den and coming away with Touker Suleyman #TheArchers

Reminder: All it would take to end the murder of American citizens by an untrained government goon squad is 16 Republicans in Congress voting with Dems to defund ICE (or 23 to impeach and remove Trump — 3 in House & 20 in Senate). That’s it. 23 Americans can vote for the public and end all of this.

If he were just fucking up the USA it would be bad enough but it's all of us who are affected. A handful of Republican lawmakers could turn the tide of history if they chose to do so. Are they just waiting for him to die like we all are? Because thats not going to save them.

Anyone in the vicinity of #Frome station keep your eyes open for a small framed middle aged woman with long dyed dark hair in a white parka. I politely stood to one side to let her pass on a narrow pavement, with a smile, and got a torrent of foul verbal abuse for my trouble. Very unsettling.

Catching up with Masterchef and OH MY GOD HOW CAN YOU CALL YOURSELF A PROFESSIONAL CHEF IF YOU SERVE PRAWNS WITH ALL THEIR INTESTINES AND SHIT INTACT? Not deveining prawns should be a sackable offence.
