🌊 I raised my voice for ocean protection. Help me turn up the volume by doing the same! One voice can start a wave. Thousands can become a roar. Together we can become an ocean protection choir. 📣💙 act.gp/3Uypxpj
What a relief!
Absolutely FABULOUS news for all life on Earth, especially the Amazon rainforest!!!! Despite the fascists playing every dirty, cheating trick in the book to steal this election, the people of Brazil saw through the lies. So, so, happy and relieved this morning 🇧🇷 👏 share.google/UdpzcSkD5us7...
Melanie Klein and Astra Taylor in their latest book explain the roots of this madness. Trump, as George points out, is a mean, vindictive hater of life. Shame on those who elect or support these awful individuals. Ecological Vengeance www.monbiot.com/2026/10/23/e...
I remember when the advice in case of a nuclear strike was to draw the curtains and hide under a table. Plus ça change!
Sure, we should, if we can (many cannot). But as I keep pointing out, the government itself is making no provision at all. No stockpiles, no back-up, no alternative sources. It's individuating the response to a collective problem, and that never ends well. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

This photo is too beautiful not to be seen by everyone 🙌🏻🥰 Original post
Burnham is as bad as the rest of them for all his posturing as a man of the people. In the pockets of gas and oil. Shame on him. I will never vote for them again.
Today's decision by Labour to approve new drilling in the North Sea is climate vandalism. It's a betrayal of all of our futures, and Labour has abandoned all credibility in the fight against climate change. This is a victory for Shell over the people. www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/cw...
Kowtowing to the oil industry. Shame on them.

It was coming. Different faces, different presentation same old bowing down to vested interests of oil and tech. Very discouraging.
Approving the Jackdaw gas field solves none of our problems, while contributing to the existential crisis of climate breakdown. The government has privileged special interests above the general interest. It's a shameful, cowardly decision.

Worth watching when George is on it.
I'm on Question Time tonight, in Brecon. The other panellists are currently from Reform, the Conservatives, Plaid Cymru and Labour. Though, given the rate of resignations and defections in Wales, that might change by 9pm this evening. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m...

The writing is on the wall despite traitors like Watson bleating to the contrary.
Palantir didn't have to evade the UK's controls on lobbyists to get astonishing, unminuted access to government ministers and officials, or even to hire them to lobby their colleagues. Why not? Because there aren't any. My column. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...
Really? We don't need data centres, we need the natural world. We have lived as a species without AI up until now. We do not need to be more efficient or productive or live longer.
Data centres are a cancer on nature and local communities. Yet their electricity consumption in Ireland is almost 10x the European – and well over 10x the global – average.
The braying British media, including the BBC, could not wait to tear this man apart. Bunch of sick right wing sycophants.
The contrast between the utterly sycophantic coverage this week of Kemi Badenoch, whose party has a truly atrocious electoral record under her leadership, and the utterly dismissive coverage of the Greens, tells you everything you need to know about media bias in the UK

#BigTech's data centres use as much power as millions of homes and guzzle our water. We need basic rules: ⚡ 100% clean power 💧 Zero water waste 🗣️ Local community consent Sign Foxglove's petition to stop data centres harming our communities and environment. you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/ba...
This is spot on. It seems like appeasement and permission to continue in our own merry way.
Why must it always be about planting trees, when they managed just fine for 100s of millions of years before people came along? Just let them seed out. Yes, planting does have a role, but so often the underlying subtext is continued human domination of nature. www.theguardian.com/environment/...
Good riddance. Go move about where taxes don't get in your way.
Another entitled knob has left the country. 😢 "While there will be many other reasons that so many other wealthy individuals have quit Britain, for me not being able to move around the city as I needed to was the clinching factor." — Sir Peter Lampl www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/09...
