Countries pledged to halt & reverse biodiversity loss by 2030. But what are they writing into law & policy? Today at #COP17 we're launching the Nature Policy Library: 3,000+ national laws & policies on biodiversity, open & searchable in one place. 👉 bit.ly/4ijOyMK #COP17Armenia #BiodiversityAction

Over the past year, more than a million people globally used Climate Policy Radar, including in governments, international institutions, & research organisations. Our 2026 annual report covers the impact, the new tools, partnerships, & infrastructure behind it, & what comes next 👇

Climate Policy Radar was used in a new report from @ceobs.org, which looks at military emissions & the climate impacts of conflict. CEOBS searched the latest NDCs for “military”, “conflict”, “security”, “defence”, “war”, and “peace”, identifying 31 with relevant mentions. 👇 For the full analysis.

🚨 There’s a critical gap in #ClimateAction 🚨 Our analysis of UNFCCC climate action plans (NDCs) revealed that not a single government has included measures to reduce military emissions in their plans to limit warming to 1.5C. Read the report at: ceobs.org/militaries-a...

🆕 If you download our data, this one's for you: exports now update daily, so you always get the latest version - no more waiting on a weekly refresh. We've also refined the CSV format based on your feedback, with a cleaner structure & clearer fields.

Every 6 months, we refresh CPR with the latest regs from Gold Standard's Carbon Market Regulations Tracker. Find 22 new additions, inc. Indonesia's new forestry trading rules (targeting climate mitigation action across 48.69M hectares of forest) & Paraguay's new carbon credit registry (Res. 047).

The ICCN brings together climate councils from across the world to strengthen #climategovernance. Our new open-access library makes their collective work across 30+ regions searchable & comparable, enabling councils to learn from each other's approaches & build on shared knowledge.

We've started with official annual reports from the last two years, sitting alongside our other open-access tools. We're looking forward to seeing how councils use the library & growing it together. With thanks to them & to our partners at the ICCN.

We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer at CPR to help build the infrastructure that makes climate knowledge accessible & actionable. Mission-driven? Excited by climate & AI? Apply here 👉 climate-policy-radar.jobs.personio.com/job/2672699 #Hiring #NonProfitJobs #DataEngineer #ClimateJobs

2026 is a triple COP year, with world leaders meeting three times to address the interconnected crises of climate change, biodiversity loss, & land degradation. On Friday at #SB64, this made for one of the most energising sessions we've been part of: 'Advancing synergies across the #RioConventions’.

It’s why we launched #RioPolicyRadar, bringing together country submissions to all three Rio Conventions in a single, searchable platform. Our founder explained to the room how this removes the practical barriers to designing, implementing, & reporting on policies across climate, nature, & land.

The synergies agenda has come a long way on ambition, coordination, & action. We have the practical infrastructure to make cross-convention knowledge actionable. Now is the time to keep the momentum up. #RioConventions #ClimatePolicy #PolicyCoherence #ClimatePolicyRadar

On Friday at #SB64, this made for one of the most energising sessions we've been part of: 'Advancing synergies across the #RioConventions’.

All three convention secretariats, three COP presidencies, implementing agencies & civil society discussed how we turn synergies into action, through national coordination, integrated, country-owned systems change, and a whole-society approach sustained by proper data.

Implementation, financing, policy coherence, participation - core themes echoing through conversations at #SB64. Yesterday, we co-hosted a side event on DPI & the Belém Technology Implementation Programme, exploring how to make sure technology solutions actually unlock climate action on the ground.

➕ Technology can simultaneously address and exacerbate inequalities. The global #climatecommunity must be thoughtful and attuned to this tension, setting measurable indicators early on to understand impact, with the humility to course-correct.

➕ Getting technology in the right hands is key to making the most of the opportunity the #BTIP presents - with credible data and diverse knowledge supporting effective implementation. More to come post-Bonn, but for now a huge thank you to all involved for such a motivating, practical discussion.

Yesterday, we co-hosted a side event on DPI & the Belém Technology Implementation Programme, exploring how to make sure technology solutions actually unlock climate action on the ground.

A few things that stayed with us: ➕ Open DPI levels the playing field, but deployment has to be intentional. Capacity building, co-creation of solutions, and clear KPIs from the outset are as important as the technology itself.

➕ Implementation doesn’t mean the dialogue is over. The BTIP will succeed by asking what's needed before decisions are made, not afterwards - reaching new territories and new voices, and ensuring indigenous and local knowledge is genuinely integrated.

The Sustainability Transition team at @fau.de is working with NFDI4Energy to build energy policy datasets in Germany & beyond. Their goal is to support better decision-making based on evidence, from climate & energy targets, to regulations for where clean energy technologies can & cannot be built.

Each session at this week's #NatureTechUnconference is shaped by members of a community making real movement towards a nature-positive future. They’ll then be reshaped & remixed by the people in the room.

On Thursday at 11.30am, CPR's Arminel Lovell, Anya Schlich-Davies, & Kyra Prins will explore how we connect nature, climate, & development data across sectors & perspectives. Join their session to get hands-on with data that could inform the shape of your work - & make you better at it. #NatureTech
