There's a ballot measure you need to know about. It's called Initiative 256. It's being pushed by Advance Colorado, a dark-money conservative group that has spent years quietly reshaping Colorado politics. It sounds reasonable... "No partisan maps." "Protect the redistricting process." BUT...

🚨BREAKING🚨 Colorado’s Supreme Court just killed the ballot measures that would claw back 3 Democratic House seats. But it gets worse. Advance Colorado, a group fighting to rig Colorado for Republicans with ties to Russian oligarchs, was allowed to move forward with their referenda.

This is what we’re talking about! We need to get more states into the fight with us. But just talking about it isn’t enough. We need action! And we need it from you! Like, share, and spread the word to get loud about fighting MAGA gerrymandering with our own redistricting.

Exactly.

Some are claiming this gerrymandering escalation was triggered by NY not Texas. That’s false. The NY Dems case is comparable to what NC Republicans did — a battle between the legislature and the courts over the post-2020 map. What Texas did is something else: rip up a map they wanted for a new one.

Colorado's redistricting initiative is a ballot measure—it goes directly to voters in November. That's our advantage. It's how we can win where Maryland failed. But it also means MAGA will throw EVERYTHING at us to convince those voters to reject fair maps.

This article isn't new, but its headline question is still being asked. Can Democrats fight fire with fire? The article implies the answer is: no, we can't. Colorado is ready to prove the doubters wrong. We're fighting back. Drawing new maps. Standing up for democracy. Join us.

Last week, a state judge ruled that Missouri can use the new map in the 2026 midterms before voters are even given a chance to weigh in on the plan, blatantly sidestepping Missourians' right under the state constitution to veto laws approved by the legislature.

"Independent redistricting is an ideal—but not when one party is capitalizing on the inability of their opponents to fight fire with fire. We are asking voters to approve temporary maps to level the playing field in the face of a nationwide election-rigging effort launched by Trump & MAGA allies."

It’s time for Coloradans to stand up. Fight back. Stop Trump. It’s time to draw the line. Trump is undermining our democracy. He’s ordering red states to create new Republican congressional seats. To stop America from devolving into one-party rule we must create new maps of our own.

This is why we're asking for our own mid-district, temporary redistricting... States like Missouri keep allowing it, giving Republicans more seats. We can't sit by—high and mighty on our laurels! We have to fight!🥊 www.kansascity.com/news/politic...
