Krystle Matar's The Legacy of the Brightwask was the book that shook me the most this month. I believe the events that have been happening in our world, especially the latest in Minneapolis, MN made this story hit harder. Why can't we help the disenfranchised, insteal of killing them? Do better.

A video of ICE agents conducting door-to-door searches today in Minneapolis The homeowner requests a warrant repeatedly, is told they don't require one, then is told they're getting it, then the agents storm in anyway They also point a taser at her to try and disrupt filming

Men created AI-generated images of this woman and used them to create an OnlyFans account so they can make money off abusing her. They can do this to any of us, and no one’s doing enough to stop them. I feel like I’m screaming into the void.

For the start of 2026, I thought I'd shake things up. Unlike last year, I decided to throw everything (for the most part) out & start fresh. Since I'm a #MoodReader of the Nth degree), I call it my MBR (May Be Read) pile of books I've wanted to read & now I'm going to. Wish me luck with this.

I've set aside 116 books that I want to read by the end of the year. Since I read usually 300+ that shouldn't be a problem. I've prioritized these books that I show in the photos attached to this thread (here and the next one). If you see anything interesting & want to Buddy Read...contact me.
