Great to have been out surveying with @ecology-digest.bsky.social and @theponker.bsky.social on the Yorkshire Dales for a few days. Rounded 'busman's holiday' off vacuuming another saturated Sphagnum lawn at 650 m altitude, and getting challenged by a Heather Chicken @britishspiders.bsky.social

Do you have nature records in notebooks that you never look at and wonder what to do with? I've transcribed 10,000 records from the 1960-70s from a Welsh ornithological legend into @birdtrack.bsky.social and @cofnod.org.uk. And it was fascinating... #BirdingWales www.cofnod.org.uk/news/natural...

@britishspiders.bsky.social @tylanberry.bsky.social @cofnod.org.uk A quick stop-off in Wales, to find a spider that I've yet to see in England. It always surprises me just how well such a big spider can 'hide in plain sight' on bare stone Arctosa cinerea is always a sight to behold
