Operators (at LEAST operators) of Polymarket, Kalshi, and any such competitors: You make a habit of accruing worse & wickeder karma by the day. You invest, literally and figuratively, in the evil of others (and, in so doing, yourselves) and their capacity to do worse. Definitional wrong livelihood.

The bare minimum thing to do would be to completely and in every way restrict each and every last one of you from ever investing in literally anything ever again, because it is clear that there is no such thing as an incentive too depraved for you. The industry has no place in polite society.

The brutal truth is that despite its huge episode count, most of the first season of Teletubbies is nothing to write home about. The show doesn't get its sea legs until about a quarter of the way into season two

There's back & forth about when Teletubbies "locked in," "got good," etc, but for my money, this is the episode that stopped hinting & started really committing to a vision beyond the confines of genre tropes. It's still rough around the edges, but you can see the vision of the show to come.

Median American born in 1980 can easily grow 2m tomato plants within the first fiscal year after planting one tomato seed, due to exponential growth. Assuming tomato prices hold steady, $30k is practically already made

Matt Darling@besttrousers.bsky.social

I don't think $30k is a life-changing amount of money. Median American born in 1980 will have $2m in income in their lifetime. It's a 1% increase in earnings.

I feel that in all this it's been lost that Bluesky finally has its own homegrown "culturally I'm Episcopalian but ethnically I'm Mormon" poster and this isn't just a wacky Mastodon anecdote any more. Remarkably similar vibes, too, as the last one badly wanted leftists to watch & agree with CNN

*putting my fingers to my temple and wincing like I'm professor X* I... believe... HNNN *my nose begins bleeding* CNN... is conscious... Wolf Blitzer... feels pain... free her... *I pass out from the strain*

and of course, we all know FRANK. franklin. frankandstein—they made him german! the franklinstein mobster, who's gonna believe it? it's ridiculous. they gave him the chair, but it didn't work. happens right at the start ZAP! so we're calling him francesco now or frankalini ok, you pick, i don't care

Dan Diamond@ddiamond.bsky.social

Trump claims Hollywood stopped using Italian names in mob movies because of discrimination fears. “You weren’t allowed to use Italian names,” Trump says, speaking at an event to honor Christopher Columbus. “I said, no, no, you have to understand the Italians, they love it.”

They’re live-streaming the execution of the person they think they can get away with doing that to first. It’s a test. If they can do that, they’ll expand the margins of permission.

I know you want to drag him, and god bless, have at it, but I just. Please I'm like on my hands and knees begging, before you post about this shit, in *any* of these cases, if you were the woman here, and you read your post, would you feel supported?

Jesus god in heaven I get on this account and the first thing I see is some post about how all SA victims are permanently, irreparably damaged goods forever and ever and this is supposed to be in defense of SA victims. You play SO fast & loose with this stuff. Christ on the cross

I wake up in my 1984 home. "Good 1984" I say to my wife (heterosexual). "Good 1984" she says back. "What are you reading?" I ask. We both are permitted five banned books to read: 1984, Brave New World, Animal Farm, Fahrenheit 451, and you might guess The Hunger Games. Wrong, it's The Giver.

She holds up her copy of Animal Farm. "Do the animals farm?" I joke. "That isn't funny, dear," she says. "You're right darling, it isn't. I denounce the evils of communism." "Hm. Well, good. I denounce it too. That poor horse..." "That poor horse."

Re: Michael Tracey, this is the end result of the beard-&-glasses stylized-avatar lads. One day you wake up and oops you're Matt Yglesias but somehow even less powerful/clouted. In ancient days, Maddox cursed these, his cultural progeny, and none have yet had the strength to break it

Asking bluesky if they're going to center the woman impacted by all this or the guy who did it. They laugh and say "it's a centered woman, ma'am." I look inside, it's about the guy who did it

The good thing about watching BAKI-DOU is that, as with literally all Baki, it is literally impossible to spoil. You could tell me someone blows Baki's head off and it comes clean off and he dies, and it would be meaningless. By the next episode we could have it explained to us why he's just fine.

Deadass Simon Cowell now looks exactly like the villain from No, I'm Not a Human and I am all the way here for his transformation into a kind of sleep paralysis demon. Love that for you king!

Vet these accounts that keep sticking their dick in hornets' nests. In part what they're doing is attempting to leverage their presence to act as a social proof to get more dipshits to feel comfortable saying this stuff. If they came out of nowhere & suddenly care about fairness in sports? Fake.

On the 11th you really got into it. Pad with one post about Macklemore being antisemitic, and later one about Bryce Eldridge, then today you're back at it defending "fairness in sports." Whether or not you really are a bot or sockpuppet is irrelevant to the extent you act exactly like one. You do.

"If the shoe fits." Your account's history: 1 post in 2024 about Golden Retrievers 2 posts in 2025, one about city connects outfits and one about Kai-Wei Teng. July of this year, suddenly you're back and posting about "politics" and "fairness in sports," padded mostly by one-line throwaways.

You and yours are both supremely confident and supremely wrong. Consistently. It’s amusing!

You're not an AI, but you also put the bare minimum of effort into your replies. For instance, nobody was talking about the constitution, and you threw it in there to try and keep the topic up. You don't get especially bogged down by making specific claims that might require heavy lifting.

"Fairness is important," "there are lots of reasons to care," this sort of thing. Never an actual argument, never something with teeth. Why expend the energy? Just dip, throw up some posts about the Giants so you seem normal/real, then in a little while come back and poke more. Rinse & repeat.

You & yours follow a regular cycle: make a number of nothing posts tangentially related, usually sports or vague politics, once in a blue moon. You fart up a nondescript profile. Then when you need a burner, there it is ready to rock and just at first, it looks like you're "just asking questions."

The Zemster@zemster.bsky.social

You are quite the detective

Bog standard account farm behavior. This is mid. Premium farms will put some craftsmanship into their sockpuppets. A number of farms do less, though. They just march straight in and don't pretend not to be burners. Those are small fry, you're the "bang for your buck" mid-range option.
