The Compleat Discography

Our entire show had two goals: have @justen.babylonpod.page as our new reader proxy, and to force @aaron.compleatdiscography.page to finally read The Shepherd’s Crown. We are so glad we did both things.

It’s the Glorious 25th of May and we’re exploring gender on the Disc! You can even watch us in all our glory here: youtu.be/OXJYfghjUDA?... Most importantly, if you want to join us in donating to the Good Law Project’s trans rights fundraiser, you can do so here: goodlawproject.org/crowdfunder/...

Gosh it sneaks up on you every time.

THE BIGGEST NEWS! Rob and I are offering up a hand-signed hardback, first edition/first printing copy of Monstrous Regiment straight from the Pratchett archives. Those who know the story will know why it’s a pertinent one for this cause. (More pics to come.) www.32auctions.com/organization...

In our intermittent and confusing post-compleation schedule, we’re happy to present a discussion of Nation by Terry Pratchett. This is one of @aaron.compleatdiscography.page ‘s favorite books of all time and we hope you enjoy it too. compleatdiscography.page/episode/9994...

If you’re still subscribed… keep your eye on the feed today.

Porting across some of my fave tweet threads. Starting with this piece of wonderful Pratchett trivia! Discworld fans, like myself, probably know the real trade of the Seamstresses in Ankh-Morpork, but do you know where the term comes from?

GNU Terry Pratchett. #Speakhisname

#GNU Sir Terry Pratchett

Recording something this weekend. It’ll be here and on the new @compleat.bibliography.show feed. Hint: it’s from 2008.

Welcome to Compleat Bibliography, the confused offspring of @compleatdiscography.page and @babylonpod.page We take all the literary enthusiasm of Compleat Discography and ruin it with BabPods chaotic trash energy Hosted most often (so far) by @jude.athrabeth.com and @ana.babylonpod.page

Aaron here—just finished re-reading Rob’s (of @terryandrob.bsky.social fame) bio of Sir Terry. You all should read it too. Thank you, Rob, for sharing so much of yourself with us in the process. It’s more than we all deserve but I know I’m grateful.

If we showed up on your Spotify wrapped you are legally obligated to tell us. I don’t make the rules.

It’s the end…but the moment has been prepared for! …sorry, wrong fandom. But huge congratulations to sibling show @makeyefretpod.bsky.social, who with the release of episode 156 becomes the sixth podcast to discuss every #Discworld novel. Take a well-earned bow and rest, Joanna and Francine!

“What kind of man would put a known criminal in charge of a major branch of government? Apart from, say, the average voter.” -Terry Pratchett, from the novel Going Postal

With all these new people coming in from yet another EME I guess i should post something. Hello and welcome to the Smoking Gnu.

“You took an oath to uphold the law and defend the citizens without fear or favor," said Vimes. "And to protect the innocent. That's all they put in. Maybe they thought those were the important things…. You're an officer of the law, not a soldier of the government.” -Night Watch

So uh… say hi?

Great things are afoot.

We just noticed that we crossed 60,000 downloads sometime last week. We love you all. May everyone continue to speak Sir Terry’s name.

Hugely excited to bring you a preview of Tiffany Aching’s Guide to Being a Witch. Words crafted by @gabriellekent.bsky.social and I, and illustrated by Paul Kidby. Words! Pictures! Oh my! https://terrypratchett.com/discworld/preview-tiffany-achings-guide-to-being-a-witch/

Reminder to new users: In a distant and second-hand set of dimensions, in an astral plane that was never meant to fly, the curling star-mists waver and part… See… Great A’Tuin the turtle comes, swimming slowly through the interstellar gulf…

Oh look, it’s our chaotic horny sibling show.

Crivens!
