Been thinking about ๐Ÿฅช rankings bc of this. I want to continue the work. 1. Ruben 2. Italian hogie (packed with veggies meats and cheeses, vinaigrette, mustard, mayo). 3. Italian pork/broccoli rabe sandwich (aka Philadelphia-style roast pork sandwich). Thoughts, fellow โณ ๐Ÿง™๐Ÿป lovers?

The Reuben is the best sandwich

The way season 3 ended with no repercussions for the prez really had me worried they jumped the shark. But this season was a massive correction (and was probably always planned that way).

The Executive Branch has no authority to regulate statesโ€™ election decisions as to candidate qualifications, and the choice to file a lawsuit like this just days before an election speaks volumes about the political corruption festering at the top levels of the DOJ.

NEWS โ€” The Trump administration sued Alaska over Dan J. Sullivanโ€™s Senate candidacy, arguing voter confusion could affect the race between Sen. Dan S. Sullivan and Democrat Mary Peltola, per Courthouse News.

Funny how when a regular person can't pay for something, they can't have it. But when you're Ellison, you can just go deeper into debt thanks to acquiescent banks, then die without paying off the debt. Positively feudal.

โ€œThe borrowing let Ellison keep his stock and avoid locking in taxable gains, and highlighted how billionaires often employ a strategy called โ€˜buy, borrow and dieโ€™ to retain their wealth without selling assets.โ€

The main diff btw The Agency & Lioness: The Agency's writers are education on current events and history vis a vis USA's empire. They know how sophsiticated/deletorious the CIA is. Lioness is written by people who dont have, are not edu enough to have, or are not allowed to express those views.

Netflix UK cutting Becky Lynch's "you're not even the greatest Women's Champion who's slept with Dominik Mysterio" line is so dumb of them. I suspect their initial idea was to make SV's entrance look cleaner, but I bet they also thought it would be an added bonus to increase 'child friendliness'.

Maxxine Dupri is a passive observer in her own Alpha Academy arc. She sits on the top rope and watches men from the Vision hit her former friends from AA. If I was her, I'd be pissed the storyline I built over years was being given away to the Vision for THEM to culminate in a couple weeks.

One thing Aabria Iyengar is particularly good at is giving players defined, dramatic challenges. In Solari ep 9, Erika Ishii is trying to talk a bigshot biz guy into funding her resort park, and after initial success, Aabria lays it out:

"you've done well, but he hasn't said yes. There needs to be more of you in this. How much more of yourself are you willing to put into this deal to get him to a yes?" And that is just the best box to give to a player to fill.

Like Brennan Lee Mulligan (and others) have said before, it's so important to "name the game" as the DM. Explicitly tell the player what the challenge is. Because when you define the challenge, whatever result they roll will matter. It will be dramatic. Aabria Iyengar is a master of this.

After the Judgement Day explodes, and Liv gets beaten by Stephanie Vaquer, I'd love the following pair up: Liv + Gunter enter into an unholy alliance where iron sharpens iron. She teaches him more ways to manipulate his opponents with shenanigans, he gives her a few more heavyweight moves/holds.

This culminates in a mixed gender tagteam match where they absolutely destroy some favored babyface duo. Maxxine + Chade Gable or sth. Would be a great ramp into making inter-gender matches a more frequent, more serious occurance.

imagine if you will a political party with leadership that understood this and used this super power for good instead of evil

its almost like a political party, when it is on message and in unison, can sway public opinion

Also the outfits in the last ep of City Council of Darkness need to be put in a museum Siobhan Thompson has been slaying all season, and doesn't stop with this ep:

He got really into the Bahai Faith! When Toby Keith was making fairly backwards/patronizing/offensive songs, Dan was getting more and more broadminded. Life is cool! Stranger than fiction. Kid from McCarney Texas (pop under 2k) getting into Bahai.

If anyone asks you what your "stance" is on AI, just respond by accurately describing its strengths and weaknesses. It's basically good at looking info up in an organized dataset and presenting that info in a convient way. But when given more subjective tasks, it often generates low-qual results.

Current companies can keep existing LLC tech. NBD there. But for the robust science of pushing the tech forward in core ways (generative thinking), that should be done in the lab not in the marketplace. Some possibilities are atom-bomb dangerous -- simply too dangerous to get wrong.

This is why all the big AI companies are out of VC money and are lobbying Trump to give them public tax dollars. They've thrown billions at improving these flaws, haven't solved them yet, and need more money. Your money!

Sad the tech wasn't allowed to incubate in an academic/low-capitalism environment for longer. OpenAI was doing some dope stuff until money tempted some of them to betray their day 1 values. I hope the tech can be put back in academia/non-profit bottle after Trump so it can develop responsibly.

The โ€œsecretโ€ about Backrooms is that itโ€™s just a good movie, by any yardstick. The way to replicate its success is to support & develop young writers & directors. And to give me a modest 5 million dollars to make my movie.

Hollywood agencies are searching Reddit for short stories and ideas that could be turned into movies following the success of 'Backrooms' (via THR)

Persistence creates opportunities. Artists, keep applying!

Samantha Mash@samanthamash.bsky.social

After a semester of teaching again I realized the thing that holds a lot of artists back is the fear of reaching out or applying to a job again in the future if you were at first turned down or had no reply So much is learned in trying again. Iโ€™d have no work if I reached out to art directors once
