Cool Blue Lake

Today is Persons Day. This day honours The Persons Case, which ended in a victory for The Famous Five on Oct. 18, 1929. The ruling declared women to be persons under the law and qualified to sit in the Senate. Cairine Wilson became the first female Senator in 1930 📸 Wikicommons

This is fun. In the upcoming municipal election, kids can learn about democracy by voting for the Tree of the Year. There are even candidate profile pages for each tree.🍁Saplings of the winning tree will be given to schools and in public giveaways. ❤️ #TorontoElection #TOpoli #Toronto

Wow. This butterfly has seen things. #butterfly #bugs #photography

Swan says Lake Ontario. #LakeOntario

Still #LakeOntario. Always beautiful.

Look, it’s #LakeOntario.

There's something poignant about the CBC airing the last Tragically Hip concert from 10 years ago tonight, on today of all days.

Amazing production of The Importance of Being Earnest at @stratfest.bsky.social — plus a fabulous weekend with my kid in that beautiful town. #summertheatre #supportthearts

Bonus shot for #AlphabetChallenge #WeekWForWater. The Avon River in Stratford, Ontario.

I love trying to capture the surface of the lake at the cottage we visit every summer. Couldn’t resist for this week’s #AlphabetChallenge with the theme #WeekWForWater — I am Cool Blue Lake, after all! #photography #CanadianSummer #cottagelife

More woo hoo!

Woo hoo!

Mother’s Day may have been last weekend, but it’s still Mother’s Day Month. 😃 It’s also a long weekend so my kid treated me to a wonderful afternoon tea at the AGO. Delish. #longweekend #VictoriaDay @agotoronto.bsky.social

I know water is a popular theme for this week’s #AlphabetChallenge, but I couldn’t resist. #WeekRforReflections

I was not prepared to see astronauts crying and hugging in space as they remember their friend and colleague’s late wife. 😭

Today has been an extremely stupid, taxing, upsetting day. Please share your favourite animal meme kthx

I love visiting @agotoronto.bsky.social. The art’s amazing, the building’s gorgeous, even looking out the window is inspiring.

Just have to say how much I’ve enjoyed watching every video I’ve seen this week of a pet bouncing out the door only to be swallowed by the ridiculous piles of snow. 10/10, every single one.

The morning view today. Currently -24 and apparently it’s going to get colder. #sunrise #winter #photography

This team brought so much happiness, hometown pride, excitement, and entertainment to people this season. It was so much fun falling back in love with baseball! Thank you, gentlemen. 💙 #BlueJays

Was thinking that little hidey-hole would be a good place to stash a treasure, then got closer and saw that some small critter had apparently had the same thought. 🍎 #ThickTrunkTuesday

Enjoyed a long walk in the fall leaves today — even saw a heart-shaped pond and a beaver! Can’t imagine a more Canadian way to celebrate Thanksgiving. #HappyThanksgiving #fall #photography

I don’t know about you, but I need a Tylenol.

Well, this is delightful.

I may have gotten a little carried away at the farmers’ market this morning, but it was the first week for peaches so I couldn’t be expected to be capable of rational thought. #buylocal
