Now that the door has been opened, let's keep up the pressure. If you haven't yet written to your MP asking them to take part and speak at the next debate, join the 25,000+ who already have, and write to your MP via the QR code in the image. #euromove #rejoin

Our latest stall in Falmouth, with some good results on the Opinionometer. Lots of lovely people, including tourists from across the UK and Europe, and a great deal of support for returning to the EU. That included some who had voted leave in 2016, but only a few people who still supported Brexit.

Our latest Cornwall4EU street stall went really well. We were in Penzance and were really lucky with the weather. We spoke to lots of people, and although a few still supported Brexit - and 3 were not concerned about world events 🤔 - a huge majority would vote to return to the EU in a referendum.

Excellent start to 2026 with our street stall in Falmouth. Most people in favour of rejoin, including the two young men in our video, but it was also good to have the opportunity to speak to those with a different view. Thanks, as usual, to our great volunteers who braved the chilly weather!

All common sense - there is strength in numbers and that is how our place in Europe can be regained.

"If we're really concerned about criminals in this country, leaving the ECHR would be exactly like Brexit, in that it would have the opposite effect" - European Movement UK Chair, Dr Mike Galsworthy, on Keir Starmer's calls to reform the ECHR.

How many times do we need to point this out? By appeasing the far right, you do not weaken it. You strengthen it. While weakening your own position. There's a vast amount of academic research showing this. But Labour will not listen. www.theguardian.com/law/2025/dec...

Good stall in Falmouth today. A few Brexity types: "Why aren't you flying the Union flag, aren't you patriots?" Not all doom and gloom, though, it was mostly positive, with younger people, including students, who were keen to answer the questions and who were very much in favour of the EU.

Great stall in Falmouth on 4th July! Perfect weather, super volunteers, lots of visitors & 11 new members. A young Dutch man was interested to find out all about Brexit and why it happened. He's here on an internship fully funded by Erasmus - something lost to our young people! #NRMIV #Rejoin

Good stall in Truro today! Fine weather & many visitors who aren't accepting Reform's empty promises & xenophobic rhetoric. Maybe election results won't be as bad as predicted. Hopefully everyone reading this will be voting on Thursday, for a party that supports our closer relationship with the EU.
