Hi everyone, I love giving talks on community building - and want your voices in it. If you build or take part in tech communities (free time or work), I'd love to hear your experiences! It takes ~5-10 min and is anonymous πŸ‘‰ forms.gle/Qmcez89xxMsA... Thank you! πŸ’œ

forms.gleWhat Makes a Community Work?Hi there, I'm giving talks on community building and would love to include real voices from the people who make it happen. The best insights come from those who build and are part of tech communities ...

If you know overviewR, you may have also heard of overviewpy. If not, let me introduce you to it :) When working on overviewR, it opened me so many (learning) doors. Understanding the language a bit better, trying things out and building a tool that could be helpful for the community. #rladies

When I initially shared it with the community, I got some feature and collaboration requests - more than I could have wished for.

It took me a while to implement everything but I'm super excited to share that v0.2.0 is finally out there for you to use with overviewpy's PyPI version! For a deeper dive, have a look here: cosimameyer.com/post/mid-yea... If you have feedback or other ideas? Curious to hear your thoughts 😊

When transitioning into the Python world, I felt like I needed this experience again. And that's when I started working on overviewpy (overviewR's Python version) in my free time. It's a very small project but with a very welcoming snake (you'll see!). #pyladies #rladies

After a bit of tinkering, my "gallery" got a small facelift. I'm so happy how it turned out! I also wrote a (very) short reflection on the process and how I got there. Why very short? Because it didn't take too long and was surprisingly straightforward! cosimameyer.com/post/updatin...

It's been a while since we last updated {overviewR} but it's officially updated on CRAN! πŸš€ If you want to learn what's new, here's a short summary: cosimameyer.com/post/newest-... In a nutshell: - Export tables as markdown - Proportional Venn diagrams - More flexible plot colors #rladies

When I started creating portraits of women in tech last year, I had no idea how quickly it would grow into the "Amazing Women in Tech" series ✨ I set up a gallery where you can flip through the portraits: 🌟 Amazing Women in Tech Gallery: gallery.cosimameyer.com #womenintech #amazingwomenintech

And the gallery is still growing - if you know someone who should be featured, feel free to reach out! Curious how I set up the gallery? I wrote a short blog post on adding a gallery to your website:

PySky, what is your favorite automated documentation tool? Investigating to round out the docs of an internal platform I'm working on, and want something a bit more detailed than just a docstring-generated list of methods and inputs. One thing I'd like is class diagrams of derived classes #python

I'm so happy to see so many familiar and also new friendly faces here, so I thought it was time for a quick #introduction πŸ‘‹ I have a PhD in #polisci and work as a #datascientist in the industry, where I've seen both the product and the consulting perspective.

I'm also a #Google Women Techmakers Ambassador and was named a Futuremaker this year. All of this comes with a fantastic network of inspiring and passionate people who want to make the world a better place and I'm truly humbled to be a part of it 🫢

As a social scientist, I'm trained to think a lot about (statistical) bias, which I bring to my work to build sustainable and fair products. I'm a passionate advocate of explainable machine learning and love talking about it.

I believe that statistics is not rocket science and that everyone can learn to code - that's why I got more involved with #pyladies and #rladies, founded R-Ladies Cologne and am part of the @rladies.org global team.

If anyone has a reason to hype up language interfaces and LLMs, it’s @inesmontani.bsky.socialβ€”founder of Explosion, the company behind the Python NLP tools spaCy and Prodigy. But her take?
