I've got a small garden pond made out of a kiddie pool that's stocked with minnows and a few tadpoles. I thought for sure that they all died when the water turned to slush, but nope, nature prevailed once more. The minnows are fine and a handful out of the hundreds of tadpoles have made it so far.
