The most important thing in writing is to finish. A finished thing can be fixed. A finished thing can be published. A finished thing can be made into a movie. An unfinished thing is just a dream. And dreams fade if you don't hold on tight enough. So finish the thing.

That fucking feel when you've cleared your desk, finished your meetings for the day and think "I'm gonna sit down and relax with a video game," only to discover you have to complete a needlessly complicated bossfight with 8 different mechanics you have to learn and your afternoon is ruined...

Walter Koenig and I were guests at the same convention a decade ago. At lunch the first day he asked if he could join me and Jess, and I was like, of fucking course. We ended up hanging out and chatting all weekend. Wonderful man. Sadly was the weekend Anton Yelchin passe and I ended up being...

the one who had to tell him. He was so instantly struck. "No. I wasn't supposed to outlive him. He was supposed to be Checkov. That's not fair." He told me about getting to meet him & we had a pretty heavy talk about life & death. A beautiful soul. Our world is a bit dimmer without his light today.

Eight years since we dreamed it up, 2 1/2 since we recorded our pilot. Sometimes a passion project takes seemingly forever, but comes along exactly when you need it. Today is the day, folks. Available wherever you get your podcasts. It is midnight in America, and you are listening to Midnight Radio.

Not as yet. This was a personally funded, punk rock, let's just do it for the love of the game sort of project, so we've just been hoping people dig it and hadn't even mentioned once in a meeting about merch. If you guys dig this, let us know if that's something you would be interested in.

@crobertcargill.bsky.social Never to overstep or inundated you with too much "Midnight Radio" love -- but I feel like a kid again & I am (like so many) in love with this project -- and was curious if there's any "Midnight Radio" merch on the horizon? Hand to heart, thank you for the escapism.

10 years ago today, the world premiere of DOCTOR STRANGE. What a wild ass night that was. Movie played like gangbusters, met Stan Lee for the first time, my first HUGE red carpet. Drank with Jess and friends until dawn. Definitely one of the best nights of my life.

The absolute fucking best. Everything you want her to be—she's actually better than that. She's the one member of the cast Jess and I went out drinking with on the regular during production. She is an absolute blast and will drop whatever it is she is doing when approached by a fan. Tilda is life.

How is Tilda Swinton in real life?

The increase in frequency of editorials like this and the "Liberal women need to settle for dating Conservative men or face a life of loneliness" is entirely because the tactics are working. Social pressure coming from the enforced loneliness is breaking MAGA and they are desperate to stop the loss.

This is a quietly metastasizing moral panic

If you have not seen the absolute destruction of Pac Money Tommy (former Josh Hawley staffer), getting absolutely fucking wrecked by El-Sayed while trying to heckle him, you have not seen Shakespeare the way it was meant to be performed. A master class in mic skills. "Answer the question, Tommy."

In my 20s I'd lost a job and hastily got one at a phone bank gig which turned out to be a boiler room operation run by a sweaty man in an eyepatch. Day 1 was training. Day 2 I was on the phones and talked to a woman who had already bought a "cruise". I realized this was a scam. Left before lunch.

Back from a wild whirlwind in NYC. Got to work with a favorite actor who turned out cooler than I imagined. Worked with our awesome MR team again. Discovered a killer 'secret' cocktail bar. Weirdly got recognized several times (which rarely happens) and met some awesome fans. All in all a wild trip!

2nd suicide in our community this week. We talk about how hard things are in Hollywood right now, but it is so much worse than many think. People who have sacrificed everything to make movies are finding dwindling opportunities and heartbreak. If shit gets dark, reach out to friends. You are loved.

As a Texan I can confirm this is a branding stroke of fucking genius. Talarico’s team just gets it.

This is one of those weird reality warping weeks in which we get to watch, in real time, Conservatives waking up and seeing their party the way we’ve been seeing it for 10 years. It’s like the lights have come up at the club and that ain’t some blonde Adonis they’ve been dancing with…

I drew a Venn diagram of the people stupid enough to believe that we’re all getting $5000 checks after the election and the people dumb enough to believe we’ll ever be able to purchase a street legal version of a flying Tesla and…oh.

Also important to note: Papa Ellison’s Oracle, which co-owns this, is one step above junk bond status. If the market sneezes wrong this whole house of cards crashes to the ground.

Enjoying golden hour in NYC after a long day of recording. Got to work with friends and a favorite actor (1st time working with them) and the day could not have gone better. Can’t wait to share with you all! After a six year journey and 2 1/2 years of recording, we’re almost across the finish line!
