Crocodile base! Newest cast. Fixed up the mold. And also tested a new method of casting with some hard expanding foam to lessen the weight and total resin used! This weighs 1 lb 10 oz and needs no additional jaws or tongue.

I said I was gonna take a break with bases but here I am this WHOLE past week casting DOZENS of bases for many of the trello masks that don't have bases started yet, and base orders wanted for Halloween. Almost done, 6 left to go. Wish me luck my body hurts lol. Then DRILLING. SO MANY COLORS

It's really the wildest batch of different bases, colors, birds, foam, a crocodile that needed extensive mold adjustment. Working with hard expanding foam to fill out larger bases to reduce weight. Jawsets, hinges. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

turned out I just didn't cut a piece big enough to count for the shirring so all this work had to be scrapped and needs to be completely redone. HOBOY. I just wanna make sure everything I put out is quality artwork and looks correct particularly due to the wait people have had to endure.

I thought I ordered my regular large amount of plaster gauze from Michaels (FOR $70!!) because the PHOTO they used on the listing was the 20 lb case. but now upon receiving a sad tiny box of it it says 5 pounds. And on Amazon it's the same price for the actual 20 lb version 😢

I just counted and we've done at LEAST 174 masks/ partials to date since 2012 when we started. Not including any toony masks we've made just for fun. That's so crazy! Uncountable amounts of blank orders also in that time. 💪

Taking the sadness and guilt I've felt and manifesting it instead into anger. Enough to put it towards meaningful changes in my Terms of service and ways I can work on boundaries to be able to work on mutual professionalism and try to keep things that don't belong separate from business.

I have had to come to terms with a lot of things that most (not all but most) colleagues already understand and I've had a hard time wrapping my head around as a people pleaser. In setting boundaries I'm making things more positive for myself and people that give me money for a product 👍

If anyone has any thoughts on this please share with me. I'm really having a lot of trouble with this. and no I'm not April fools joking. This is all a moral dilemma that is tearing me apart emotionally. At least this helps me understand a little why I've felt sick to my stomach and don't know why.

In fact. The people that need it for identity and joy often are the ones that can't afford one. They would appreciate it the most. Selling something like this, with my mindset of anti-establishment/ anti-capitalism makes me feel... guilty. All the time.

This guilt kind of refuses to let up. The more I hear cries out of people not surviving (financially as the world runs on money) it's always financially. The worse I feel about asking for money for something no one needs. If I was ok with being capitalist I would maybe not beat myself up so much.

MFW They partly inspired me making realistic creature costumes over a decade ago.. if people don't even know them anymore I'm cooked tbh.

The package finally arrived after I called them 2. count em 2 more times for them to secretly need: the client's phone number and email address. the email address they've BEEN EMAILING THEM AT. FINALLY got them a customs vat fee which was the full 20% regardless of art. AND AND

also the phone number and email address were on the UPS invoice I initially put on and inside the box. Both informations were there. ADDITIONALLY the head arrived with one of the leds shorting out. Application for SOME money to pay to fix it. Denied. I'm so tired. Guess insurance = loss or nothing

I truly just wanna cry over this whole situation. I'm just scared for the future of literally suits I have to send overseas RIGHT now in my que and I'm afraid it will be a nightmare each time. The world has fallen apart.

Now they need a whole signed letter of art authenticity before they'll allow the client to have the package . It's been nothing but more and more paperwork needed for this. Never in my 14 years of making have I had to do this. My goddddddd. There's so little info out there for this stuff.

Holy shit. So yeah. I had to figure out how on earth to file a whole thing with the GUVNMT in order for this package to go over the border. Good thing I had enough Ashwagandha because this is so confusing. No colleagues so far have been able to help me so I've just tried to figure it out myself.

It’s not done. They come up with more paperwork they need every single day and wait a whole nother day to ask for more. I am having nightmares about this at this point. This is all too much. Oh and I have to be up between 1-5 am to respond to the client and get them the info they need. Yeah.
