Even if youre not printing a full cosplay armor Making super detailed symmetrical 3dprinted foam bevels instead of eva foam or handsculpting them is pretty sweet (if you ignore the time it takes to design it 😭)

Little bit of the process of the gloves. After screenprint the pieces were cut out then basted together then machine sewn (not shown). The caulk gets a little stiff, silicone or urethane rubber instead could be interesting. Scale stencil is handdrawn

These came out way better than i feared during the process 😭 Custom screenprint-style dragonborn gloves. Still want to do some paint shading.

Overhead rack for my workshop 💪

cant order stretch faux leather fabric anymore that actually looks like faux leather... Seemingly in the last couple months every bolt of "faux leather" fabric is now "coated/foiled spandex" and it doesnt exist anymore. That foiled spandex is absolutely useless.

well now i might be motivated to get new retainers (mine have a lil piece broken off) bcs then i can ask for my teeth plaster cast and cast custom selene teeth on them... i need to stop

me: oh selene from underworld could be a neat relatively easy cosplay plus i already got suitable boots and contacts also me: *saves all photo references from movie and prop auction closeups* well damn.

anyone has any shop recommendations for good quality black leather (or faux leather) corsets and vampire teeth? thinking of putting together a selene cosplay. But obv the generic webshops only have halloween-quality crap of this kind. There was a stall on dragoncon that always sold vampire teeth

every once in a while i look up the mugler chimere dress and im like man i wish i was artistic enough to design like a harpy oc inspired by it but i suck at that kinda stuff (i mean im a cosplayer after all, im just good at building other peoples amazing designs instead of making my own)

Slightly stiffer foam tpu, new tpu air 95A by siraya tech which enables faster, more reliable printing, and more complex designs 👌

Something i wanted to try! @smoothon has this epoxy flexer additive and it works in xtc3d which is an epoxy coating of course Look how nice this is on foam tpu 👀 not tacky at all

I was looking for some ultra high density eva foam in the usa and i found avetco.leather and they were kind to send me a sample pack of lots of their eva with densities over 150kg/m3! It feels so nice and stiff almost like tooling leather Super promising for some future projects

This is a 3m speedglas welding headband replacement. Ive used a couple welding headbands into heavy masks and helmets before but i like that this one is smaller so might be more useful for certain masks. Needs an 3dprinted adapter for bolts bcs the mounting hole is quite large

Tip of the day (night?) for cosplayers and fursuit: "Magic" velcro has softish smooth hooks that do not mess up your fabrics and dont scratch your skin. Be mindful which types are "magic velcro" such as this listing a.aliexpress.com/_EJG5YxM

learned how to add sound and a few more things with this project! red queen from devil may cry. mostly 3dprinted in petg. the sound is added using a dfplayer (arduino) and a 4 ohm speaker hidden in the cross guard. #cosplay
