Noch nie hat eine Partei so stumm um ihr Überleben gekämpft. Aber wird denn überhaupt gekämpft? Oder ist "kämpfen" für die SPD auch nur noch ein anderes Wort für weiter regieren?

Combining interpretive process tracing with policy feedback theory, I show how poverty became legible as a policy problem in 🇩🇪 through stakeholders’ sustained interventions. Based on expert interviews, I identify seven key episodes driving three mechanisms at the core of this decades-long process

Ultimately, the article proposes an interpretivist framework that sensitizes process tracing and policy feedback theory to reveal how definitional interventions gain institutional traction through underlying mechanisms over time.

Research on political responsiveness shows that welfare state decision-making is characterized by unequal influence, skewed toward well-organized and well-resourced actors. People experiencing poverty frequently lack direct representation in policymaking and public discourse.

I don’t know how the narrative of American democracy can survive this. The country voted to give the nuclear codes to a mental toddler who’s going to start a war because he didn’t get a participation trophy.
