I just attended this workshop (remotely) and learned a lot about using marginal effects to make sense of regression output. Kudos to Vincent for making a powerful package with an easy to use interface 😊
I'll be in Ann Arbor next week to talk about `marginaleffects` and how to interpret statistical models. Let me know if you're around! pdhp.isr.umich.edu/workshops/ #RStats #PyData
Just finished Witch King and Queen Demon by @marthawells.com. I love Kai and Ziede as much as I love Murderbot! #booksky

What to do if you find a baby bunny. Thanks @portmanteauface.bsky.social for the suggestion!
I was watching @jenrichmondphd.bsky.social great tutorial on data management and wanted to start a discussion here: When you ask for age in a survey, do you (a) Use an open-text field with validation (b) Use a multiple choice question with age ranges (c) Something else youtu.be/7UxBZxiJGKY?...
PlayStation: “What if we stop selling physical copies of games?" Me: "Then I probably won't buy another PlayStation console." I'm interested to see whether they stick with this terrible decision, or whether all the negative press gets them to rethink. www.theguardian.com/games/2026/j...

MIT Technology Review asked me to review Stewart Brand's new book _Maintenance: Of Everything_, vol. 1. I went into it with a lot of questions, including about how he'd deal with labor, politics, and social structure. It's a lot worse than I expected. www.technologyreview.com/2026/04/17/1...

I agree with a lot of this, especially that the AI bros calling it "PhD level intelligence" shows a fundamental lack of understanding about what intelligence is. On that topic, see the original post. But slightly on a tangent: while we're having this conversation, we need to avoid the false 1/

Serious shout out to these reps because organizing at least 51 out of 62 people to do something that risks fines and threats of arrest is not nothing, especially now. Red state reps go so hard. 💖
Per the @texastribune.org, a sufficient number of Dems in the Texas state House are headed out of state to break quorum, which would at least temporarily deprive Republicans of the ability to pass a new gerrymander. (At least 51 of 62 Dems need to be absent.)

If you couldn't reach me in the last couple weeks, it's because I've been with @v0max.bsky.social in California in federal court... www.courthousenews.com/meta-violate...
So, umm, in other news, @jengolbeck.bsky.social and I are partially responsible for Meta now being liable for several billion dollars.
