Minor annoyances: I switched to this peanut feeder for the garden as the mesh is slightly heavier duty than the old one so lasts longer and you can remove the mesh part and reattach it upside down, which is great when it gets chewed up. What you can't do is just buy the mesh part as a replacement.

The back of Holy Trinity Priory gatehouse, Micklegate, York. A ghostly reminder of part of York's past. My study is based on several photographs taken in the 1850s just before the "improvements" of 1854. #ArchitecturalIllustration #pencil #drawing #ArtShare

Probably Marco Polo to go with my copy of Invisible Cites and other books about Venice.

Time for a round of ‘you can only pick one’. Which will it be? (Would you ‘like’ or rt this one please, so it doesn’t get buried 🙏)

Being threatened with great photography weather is good actually.

A change in the weather is on its way ⤵️ After a stormy period, the jet stream shifts northwards, allowing high pressure to build in from midweek onwards ⛅ This will bring largely settled conditions, but a risk of fog ☁️

With only 64 hours left in the campaign I'm going through and makin' up my favorite weapon bits on the skyfin~ It's gonna have these laser systems, and it's cool sharktana (I just coined this term now.) For when you absolutely need to cause booboos, a quad system 15 petawatt Laser might just do it.

The Relegance Z. A beautiful car with amazing aerodynamic lines that cut the air like a hot knife cuts butter, which you can use to make your everyday breakfast toast.

Love this ghost sign on 307 West George Street in Glasgow, which identifies it as the former office of the wonderfully named Glasgow architect Ninian MacWhannell. Cont./ #glasgow #ghostsign #ninianmacwhannell #glasgowarchitects #glasgowhistory

I'm never going to understand the madness of US politics. Over here we shout about stuff for six months every five years and spend £50 on a general election which we do with pencil and paper. Over there it's constant and costs billions for no added benefit. Hypercapitalism is weird.

For various reasons I've been looking at a lot of instructional YT videos on using drawing guides in different art programs and the number of them that start off with "No, using a ruler to draw straight lines isn't 'cheating'." What in the name of gibbering fuck is wrong with people?

Nowadays, the internet sometimes feels like a once well-to-do neighbourhood that became a slum after an industrial park & motorway were built through it. And I'm the lifelong resident who refuses to leave, unable to accept that the decaying, now unsafe area will never regain its former grandeur.

First recorded in 1201 when King John paid a visit, the remaining parts of Ravensworth Castle near Richmond date from the late 14th century, when it was possession of Henry, 1st Baron FitzHugh. In 1391 he enclosed 200 acres around the moated castle, creating a park. The castle was

I more than hint at this writing about You Can See Everything but I think one of the movie’s most important and less observed subjects is the credulousness we extend to self-proclaimed tech visionaries

Today is Michaelmas, a quarter day in the Irish calendar, and traditionally when rents were paid & contracts signed. It's also the last day to eat blackberries - after today, they belong to the Devil and will make you sick!
