Hannah Barnes once published a paper in the British Medical Journal with some fake scandal about trans kids and then the next day published an "exclusive" in the BBC saying that the "BMJ found a big scandal". Her source was her own report but she never disclosed that she also wrote the BMJ paper.

The "school security industry" is a way to bankrupt school districts by redirecting funding away from teachers and giving it to various kinds of cop-adjacent chuds instead. The Plot To Enslave America

If ever a case were made to get all of your stuff and things out of the cloud and amass physical copies of everything, here is a prime example of why: PBS Could Lose 70 Years of Historic Archive Footage Over Cloud Dispute | PCMag share.google/mVR4o9Uk84T9...

I've seen a lot of people talking about how the new Avengers reeks of desperation bringing back Chris Evans, and RDJ playing Doom, etc etc. The thing that REAAAAALLY reeks of desperation to me though is giving Thor back his short hair from Infinity War and Ragnarok

Abolitionist organizers have been warning about this since the beginning: the issues with ALPR is not “privacy.” PDs are reacting to public anger about Flocks many abuses. Vendors (axon etc) are literally waiting with contract in hand to be the replacement w/ the same potentials for abuse.

Joey Scott@joeyneverjoe.bsky.social

I've been writing about Flock and ALPRs for a few years now, and the news that the LAPD let their Flock contract expire over “privacy issues” makes people think that the department will not use Flock in the future. They’re renegotiating their contract with the company.

🚨 BOOST 🚨 Please help her out. One of the people who assaulted her was a Patriot Front Nazi. Of course the cops didn't arrest him, and now she's facing charges and will need legal funding.

If you would like to SUPPORT the assault victim, Rihanna has a Venmo account up because crowdfunding websites have shut down her campaigns. You can verify her identity through the FB post or contact info she's provided. Please share 👇

this is such an antagonistic move against the unionizing employees, and is so hurtful and disgusting as a general act. this wasn't any sort of legal requirement or an outdated course of action, this was done with intention. fuck everyone involved with making this choice.

Last week, WOTC leadership deadnamed a number of transgender Magic: The Gathering Arena employees in front of their coworkers as part of the lead-up to a union election. Can't stop thinking about the way the sea-bear flipped squidward's sombrero before beating the shit out of him. That would be like if someone came up to you asked what set you're repping and then tied the wrong colored bandana to you before jumping you. Thats next level hate and I respect that.

The collapse of public health is ongoing

Dr. Lucky Tran@luckytran.com

The CDC has paused testing for rabies and pox viruses. It's vital we keep a close eye on them as rabies is virtually 100% fatal without vaccination, and smallpox killed hundreds of millions (we really don't want a similar virus returning). Losing track of these viruses is a recipe for catastrophe.

They won't start with banning birth control. First they'll lie about it. Then dictate who can prescribe it, use it, fund it, in what forms, and for how long. Suddenly, your doctor won't call you back. I know this is what they'll do because it's what they're doing to transgender healthcare right now.

what really bugs me about the "trans people got ahead of public opinion" line is that it ignores *why* public opinion changed. it didn't just come out of nowhere, there was a deliberate push to make trans rights a wedge issue.

Just started doing new data analysis and I know I keep saying this, but: I really, really don't think people appreciate how much this moral panic was a deliberate and extremely expensive invention.

One of the depressing parts of the Maduro kidnapping is one of my immediate questions was how did this not leak and the answer is the press knew about it but they're all fucking house trained dogs and all the know how to do is shit on command so they killed the story Moreover, ICE must be destroyed

There is no sight that more efficiently puts the lie to immigration “court” than the common sight of children “representing themselves.” Children too small to climb into the chair, children in pajamas who don’t know where they are, children not yet old enough to speak.

This is bonkers, these people have all passed a series of interviews and checks. Pulling people from the citizenship ceremony is really just cruel.
