My friends took me out to a chestnut tree, and we spent the afternoon stomping, chestnut husks open, collecting them and taking them home to roast them.

Gooseberry garnish on dessert at the restaurant in Aigueze. I had a Coupe Ardeshoise, which is made with crème marron or chestnuts. Chestnuts are a favorite local ingredient. It was chestnut ice cream with chunks of chestnut and chestnut sauce. A chestnut orgy lol. Love it!

Last night my daughter made pork sausages from the butcher truck. She gives Thai massages to the butcher. A small community. My daughter also made spaghetti with olive oil and herbes de Provence. If you don’t have it, mix rosemary, thyme and oregano or savoury. Simple and delicious!
