our new zine is here! "How to Spend Ten Years Repairing a Computer and Why You Should Too". first 50 emails with the subject line "Zine, please" to mediaarchaeology+zine@proton.me will get a copy (sorry, U.S. only to keep costs down). print-ready version of the zine at archive.org/details/lisa...

archive.orgHow to Spend Ten Years Repairing A Computer and Why You Should TooZine publication from the Media Archaeology Lab about the repair process on the Apple Lisa in the MAL collection

Thinking very sensibly about a new zine and there’s a chance I *cant* pull off hand making 200 sheets of paper for a zine but imagine I did? Wouldn’t that be sick as fuck….

Spent the summer running around the world and seeing so many people I adore and now I get to read through my massive pile of acquisitions which is a great way to cope with big travel summer coming to a close

Please hire me as a postdoc. I have many useful skills (programming, electronics, digital fabrication, writing) that can be applied to many areas (feminist STS, disability studies, media studies,HCI, outer space) with many possible outputs (research creation, publications, products). I am also nice.

It’s fascinating that my brain still has time to tell me I’m lazy when I was fully busy from 8:30am til 11:21pm with only a brief hour or two of not actively working on something

Can’t wait to go to the makerspace to work on a project! *two white guys discussing why AI is cool and that capitalism is chill bc communism is corrupt* 🙃🙃🙃🙃

Got so high I teared up because I remembered I basically living my dream life working in a community I care deeply about, making things and teaching other people how to make things wow lotta stuff big suck out here but I’m so lucky to do what I do with people I love 🥹

After four months of extremely frustrating situations with vendors and shipping I finally have fluo pink and yellow up and running for my riso printer !!!!!!! And hopefully I’ll repair the blue drum to finalize CMYK soon…
