The Politics of Lonely: why is friendship so hard? by Lee from @sheerspite.bsky.social . I had an advance copy of this that on my ebook, but half way through I already loved it so much that I got myself a physical copy to keep too. Which was also a good time to stock some copies in the shop!

Remember that trans sex worker I found last week that was interviewed by the Telegram? I found the photos.

Amelia Smith@nturavrgcistory.bsky.social

Here's an interesting trans history in Toronto find! A Toronto Telegram article from August 1970 with trans sex worker Lily St. Clair! Previously a female impersonator, she is described as having bottom surgery 8 months prior to the article. She performed at the Westover Hotel at 212 Dundas St E.

So far 23 people have requested my book at their libraries and been entered to win a copy-- you can still enter, I'll draw the winner on Friday :)

how i answer that question in the book is that a lot of forces (austerity, white supremacy, the housing crisis, etc) are making our lives a struggle materially, while ALSO giving us "you don't owe anyone anything" brainworms right while we need each other most.
