My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today. Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man.

lost interest. I found him insufferable in "Hour of the Wolf" and it feels like no matter how the cards are stacked against him and the Woofs, he somehow throws down 5 of a kind and wins. I look forward to reading about him getting the Devlin Stone treatment.

Today's #mechtober topic is the queen of #battletech herself, the Black Widow, Natasha Kerensky. Mercenary, misfit, criminal, warrior, leader, incomparable rage-baiter, she struck fear in the hearts of everyone she faced on the battlefield. She died at age 84... in mech combat.

#Mechtober today is about Natasha Kerensky , the black widow herself . As a child I wanted to be her . She was one of the coolest most badass characters ever written . Beautiful , deadly and sometimes hilarious got to love the original Queen of battletech . She remains one of my all time favorites

Light mechs are my second-favourite weight class to play in #battletech, after heavy. Fast, agile, and each built for a niche within their tight construction limits, if you field a light mech with purpose it can punch far above its weight. These nimble little guys are the stars of #mechtober today!

Got the painting bug and started working on some #Battletech minis. Support vehicles and elementals for Snowblind, a future Jackie Darwin’s Whipits Centurion from the Draconis reach hotspots, a Marvelous Kontio and animated Series inspired elementals. None finished yet

The Stinger has thin armour, decent speed, and just one main weapons, the med. laser though with a backup machine gun. The exception to lights being fast is the good ol' UrbanMech. Armoured light a lighter medium, the Urbie plods along, even in Land-Air Mech mode. #Mechtober

#Mechtober day 24: Light 'Mechs. The speedy SOBs who use movement for defense (with one exception). Outside House Steiner, these are the recon 'Mech to zip in and zip out. My favourite is the Locust, but I don't have a mini of it. The Stinger below is a good representative of the lights.

#Mechtober #Battletech 10/24 - Light mechs! I tend to prefer the beefier end of lights (30-35t). My absolute favorite: the Raven! (Especially the 4X when playing 3025 era) Followed by the Wolfhound (how can you not love it?) and the Spider! (King of getting objectives and going where it wants 😂)
