#Mechtober continues with the week of war machines. today it is Assault Mechs, something easy to love as they are the biggest and stompiest. and while I love flawed mechs more than most, My favorite is the Awesome. built brick simple, I nearly bankrupted myself buying one in my first MW5 run.

Evidently, #Mechtober is about Assault-mechs today. So how can I not pull for my boy the Grand Titan? The new N20C is also sick, I should mention. Just ask that Savage-Wolf in the image. Huge props to @mmazzoni.bsky.social for making this incredible piece of artwork.

#mechtober day 19 brings us to my favorite class, the Assault Mech! Large, armored, and armed to the teeth, these are the heavy hitters you don't want to be on the wrong end of. My Clan choice is the Dire Wolf, as it was the first 'Mech I ever saw, and for IS I went with the venerable Highlander.

The 15th of #mechtober headlines Robert Charrette, without whom BattleTech's Draconis Combine would probably have been consigned to "Eternal Other Peril" status for a lot longer than it was. Having read his earlier stuff recently (and thus knowing more about JP history in general), I appreciate...

I'm not really participating in #Mechtober but I had thoughts on medium 'Mechs. Mediums are an odd lot. Some act as slightly heavier light 'Mechs, useful for recon (Jenner, Cicada, Assassin). Others want to punch with the big boys (Hunchback).

#MechTober 18 'Medium 'Mechs are my Jam in #Battletech. You have heavier weapons, more armor, and often more mobility, but you still have to be careful. Each era has some great 'Mediums. Here are some of mine: @battletech.bsky.social @catalystgamelabs.bsky.social

It's day 14 of #mechtober and it's Bryan Young! An outstanding author, Voidbreaker was the first BattleTech novel I read after a decade-long hiatus and it was both a great read as well as excellent introduction into the ilClan era. Currently reading through his Ghost Bear series, enjoying it so far

#mechtober #battletech 10/15 - Robert Charette! One from my collection I haven't gotten to yet - but the Kuritan perspective B-plots in the Warrior trilogy show such a cool and weirdly different side to the story, plus I heard the HATAMOTO-CHI IS INVOLVED? Sign me up!

#MechTober 15 - Robert N. Charrette Wolves on the Border tells the story of Wolf’s Dragoons time with the Draconis Combine and the friendship between Jaime Wolf and Minobu Tetsuhara. Like yesterday’s highlight, it is great for showcasing the complexity of BattleTech’s factions.

#mechtober day 16 and it's Michael Stackpole. The man needs no introduction, considering the breadth and importance of his novels for BattleTech. The Warrior and Blood of Kerensky trilogies are practically required reading and for good reason as they're both excellent series.

Today's #Mechtober topic is about @michaelastackpole.bsky.social. Michael's been one of my favorite authors since I was a teenager. In terms of Battletech, my brother & I read our copy of Malicious Intent so many times the paperback is falling apart. My love for the CN9-A comes from Doc Trevena.

#mechtober #battletech 10/19 - Assault 'Mechs! This is my least favorite weight class, evidenced by I felt like I was forcing myself to pick a 3rd favorite, so just 2 today. The Hatamoto-Chi and the Atlas II ! Both so cool I had to grab in metal long before the plastics released.

#MechTober 16 - Michael A. Stackpole Warrior: En Garde was the first BattleTech fiction that I read, and just like the game, it hooked me. While a few other novels were released earlier, the Warrior Trilogy really set the large scale plot of the setting in motion with the 4th Succession War.

#mechtober today is for Robert Charrette! He wrote my 2 favorite Battletech novels, Wolves on the Border and Heir of the Dragon. Currently enjoying Wolf Pack. How he writes characters and battles is really great. Reminds me of Shogun in a lot of ways but with giant robots & spaceships! Yes!!!!

It's Day 16 of #mechtober and we celebrate Michael A. Stackpole-the author who has given Battletech so much! Mr. Stackpole was part of our inaugural panel this past Dragon Con at Offbeat Books and you can listen to our interview with him in Episode 72, Part 2 of our Rememberance of Warrior: Coupé.

Day sixteen of #mechtober #battletech and sixth day of Author Week is @michaelastackpole.bsky.social He always felt like the blockbuster author compared to others at the time but that might simply be the fact he was writing not one but two universe shaking trilogies. And still so many stories to see

For #Mechtober today is Assault ‘Mech day. These ‘mechs range from 80 to 100 tons in mass and have covered various rolls from scouts, to fire support, command ‘mechs to urban specialists. Today though, I’m showing you two Awesome Battlemechs, one by Ral Patha (which I’ve owned for many many years)

Day seventeen of #mechtober #battletech and seventh and final day of Author Week is William H. Keith jr. While not my first BattleTech novel read, Decision at Thunder Rift sold me more than anything on the settling and tone of the classic 3025 era universe and cemented my love for BattleTech.

Day 15 of #mechtober and it's Robert Charrette. While Wolves on the Border is heaped with praise(and rightfully so), personally, I LOVE Heir to the Dragon. As a kid obsessed with the IJN(I'm weird, I know), a book all about BattleTech's samurai faction was too good to pass up & it did not disappoint

#mechtober #battletech 10/17 - William H Keith! I know I wanna read the Gray Death Legion series at some point, so when I saw they had the whole trilogy in hardcover at the last con with CGL I was at it was an instant pickup. Always love a hardcover copy over a paperback any time.

For #mechtober day 16 we have William H. Keith, Jr. Decision at Thunder Rift was my first BattleTech story set in the Inner Sphere, I was struck by the gritty, often brutal nature of combat set in his stories.

Today's #battletech #mechtober topic is medium mechs! Medium is probably my least-favourite weight class to play out of the four, but there's still lots to love. Here are four of my favourite mediums. I've got a Nightsky from the Kell Hounds Striker Lance box that I'm looking forward to painting!

#MechTober 18 - Medium ‘Mechs The Eris is one of my favorite new designs from the ilClan recognition guides. The snub PPC, MMLs, and partial wing make it a great skirmisher. I’m glad it’s included in the new Core Box so that more people will give it a try.

#Mechtober #Battletech 10/16 Michael Stackpole! The legend @michaelastackpole.bsky.social!! I read a few BT books of smaller-scale before the Warrior trilogy. It was so different and massive and cool to see the key lore I knew from Sarna but actually develop and unfold. I'm on Lethal Heritage now!
